Those Choppers sound awesome. Love a Tractor as well.... Ti be honest all classic traction sounds better than the modern stuff.

By the way, they're looking for new operators for the MK5's once their lease with TPE expires. They'll most likely go to Chiltern Railways to replace the MK3's, so they can be exported to Mexico.

@@terrier_productions Oh yeah, I agree. I think Caledonian Sleeper should take inspiration from Nightjet and use the MK5 driving trailers so they don't have to switch around locos.

Not necessarily to Mexico they’ll probably most likely be scrapped because modifications have to be made to locomotive stock mk3 to be able to go with class 43 powercars I think they will probably be scrapped

The TPE trains do not look right. They need a loco that suits their profile and to be push pull operated.

Just seen them on the return journey at Kings Sutton with Class 37, 37409, carrying what looks like a newly applied Scotrail livery complete with mini snowploughs

Blame First, for ordering theee different types of incompatible rolling stock. Driver training on so many different types (68 + Mk 5, 185, 397, 802) was one of the major reasons for their perpetual staff shortage

To be fair first given the option they would've just ordered all 800s but apparently the wait was too long so we got CAF. In the end the 800s were in service long before the 68s and MK5s. #eyeroll

Wonder if the Mk5s will end up at Chiltern replace the Mk3 sets?

LSL only hired them for their Christmas trains as part of a mixed set of coaches, hires ended so going back

In my view 68s are like 56s just useless and the UK should only use UK built trains. Foreign designers dont seem to have a clue about UK styling. A 56 could look like a 47 but a 68 just purely ugly

What a waste of good trains the mk5s were just to cheaply made and still have lots of life left
