Train with Kai IV - ARMS

Спорт

MuscleMeds' own Adam Paz has worked steadily behind the scences with Kai since bringing him on as their flagship athlete.
With a key role to play throughout the filming of the Train With Kai series, he eventually caught the fever himself and requested to be penciled in as the final athlete to be featured in the series for the arms segment.

I love Kai's philosophy on weightlifting. I enjoy every one of his videos because he really sheds light on the mental aspect of bodybuilding. I've learned many things from Kai over the years, but this is without doubt the most important thing I've ever learned from Kai: 1) Flex your gluteus minimus, 2) insert the needle, 3) as you insert the needle, visualize the steroids flowing through your body. Kai is legend.

That bit about Weightlifters vs Body Builders was probably the most significantly important piece of information throughout this video. Too often I feel people try throw weight around like Kai said and they believe they are working their biceps; when, in fact they are abusing their shoulders because the weight is too heavy! Very important information, thanks Kai!

i've been doing this type of training for arms for the past 8 months, i vary 3 different "arm day" workouts all being high rep and so far i like it. Gonna keep banging arms this way. it's hard for the first couple of weeks to go and do it all , but your body gets to accept it. its long tough almost 1h45 minutes. good luck

Folks this work out was magic I got quality pump to all forearms, triceps and biceps. Forearms from the onset set the base really. Work out is not the killer actual stress comes from 20 reps. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Thumbs up to KAI, thank you for being such an inspiration to people like me..........respect.

And only negative movement micro-tears muscle fiber. The positive (lift) doesn't tear it at all. Also, strength gains don't just come from muscle size. Neurological up-regulation can be done by fast movements (search: Louie Simmons) very low reps/light weight. One-half of a 1 rep max for 5-8 sets of 3 reps with super-fast moves up and down. That will up-train the nervous system. Full negatives will micro-tear muscles for hypertrophy, and full contractions will force prostaglandin release strongly in the muscle fiber to increase size with no strength gain.

Phil Awful This info certainly doesn't come from me. I was completely surprised to discover the findings of many university studies. Positive movement (contraction) doesn't tear muscle fiber: it's only when the muscle has to 'skip' down the myosin strands during negative movements (weighted) that muscle proteins are damaged. Don't confuse muscle hypertrophy with maximal strength however. Most lifting strength comes from deliberate high speed force exercises like Louie Simmons trains his students, which in actuality causes a diminishing of the neural safeguards the body normally imposes upon maximal muscle effort. It's recruiting more and more fibers, and downregulating neural safeguards to create a near-total muscle effort like in a live-or-die event.
