Hey,
Welcome to our Sri Lanka series we are spending one month exploring the beautiful country and showing people why they should visit here.
In this video we plan to get the train to Jaffna all the way north of Sri Lanka, as you can tell from the thumbnail this is not what happens we get on the wrong train and go completely the wrong direction. Watch this video to see how we deal with this and what we end up doing.

We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid p
ut a stop to it. The day has finally come we have sold our business and packed everything we own into storage, rented our house to explore as much of the world as we can in one year.

Another great exposure. Yeah, you get few of those guys who's trying to be a tour guide and earn few bucks. they are having a tough time these days. In case if you don't have a place to eat, ask from any house something to eat. they always share their food. specially in village area. in Sri Lanka anyone comes to your house, they never let them go without having at least a cup of tea, Thank you to both of you

We are so sorry for you guys missed your train to jaffna. Our outdated train system is totally a disaster. No proper guild lines in major stations to assist foreign tourists. We can book a movie ticket within 5 minutes using our phones but booking a train ticket is a day long process because you have travel to certain train stations to get it print out. Next time simply ask any local people especially youngsters, we'll are always ready to help you. Thank you for visiting Sri Lanka!

Very addictive video. Thank you very much and love the Norfolk accent. Sri lanka has not got one single statue of its 193 ancient kings and queens. It only has statue of a philosopher so great that he is venerated with respect Buddha .

Hi again Guys,Its a bit unusual, but that Clock Tower in the the old part of Town, has a rickity Iron staircase, which I climbed to the top. Full of Pidgeons when you reach the top, but there is a small door to the outside, which you can walk around. Whilst I was up there, the Bells started ringing. A vidio of it would be good for your Channel. I did this in Feb this year, and nobody had been up there for ages. Good Luck.ps Midday is best for the Chimes. Go on I dare you.

Train travelling in Sri Lanka is of course a bit confusing.. I have got into a wrong train in Scotland. It did feels the same to get into the wrong train in a foreign country. 😂 Anyway, You guys are the nicest couple youtubers travelling around Sri Lanka. Just a heads up you should try the night street food out at a place called "Aluth Kade" (its a local hideout for food) - the only open at night and i reckon its a must if you love to eat. Moreover, I feel that Pilawoos is overated, you should try a place called "Hotel De Plaza" - and opt for the Masala Chicen Kotthu + Chicken Palandi.

There’s some scammers in Colombo specially outside hotels . You need to make sure you know the places that you are going to go otherwise you will loose lot of money . Other than that 96% people are friendly and genuine

I’m not surprised the receptionist didn’t understand Reanne.. LOL. No offense, sometimes you talk fast, you mumble, and you have a strong UK accent. That’s totally another language right there! Hahaha! But I can understand you though! I tend to talk fast when i’m anxious, nervous, mad.. My kid said my Asian accent comes out when I’m yelling at her because its half in Khmer and half in English.
