I like the rolling stock, except for the blurple caboose. Trucks on the gons are well hidden, so it doesn't bug me too much. The colors on the locomotives are weird, but if I ignore that - I think they look OK for DTM. ... then I watched the rest of the video. "... look at me do window things ... eeeeeeee!" lol :)

Also, am I the only one who felt the ATSF livery was out of place here because ATSF was never a predecessor to Burlington Northern. I could see if DTM just threw that in for us ATSF Fanatics, but still, pretty out of place for a BN loco dlc.

The colors are the way they are for weathering affect he's actually stepped up his game a lot in that sense compared to what it was back in the early years. I personally can't stand when people put out locomotives that look fresh like they came just out of the shop locomotives do not ever look that way.

Did anyone else notice the front headlights switch when he was in the U25c at 53:25. It was switching from dim to bright back and forth constantly. What kind of ghost was possessing that locomotive? The ghost does not know how to use a light switch 🤣🤣🤣

I hope they'll adding GE U25C in a long future.

Great review as usual, glad there is a review channel that doesnt beat around the bush with the obvious for TSC content. Seems to be yet another disappointing release from DTM as per the usual lately, I was hopeful that these were gonna be a step up from the P40DC nightmare, but after witnessing the window nightmare I refuse to waste another $20.

Another fantastic video! I ALWAYS watch your videos and reviews of TSC releases before I purchase anything. You give honest reviews and if it’s a piece of shit then you tell us.

I personally think the idling in-cab sounds like a muffled trash compactor. The control stands look like they were left to rust out in the elements for 5 years- Then brought back inside just to be lazily coated over with industrial grey primer. There's a mentally challenged window for some odd reason. The oscillating light pattern is in between a gyralight and a mars light, that's- bugging me. I could make a novel about all the things I saw in this pack if I keep going. I rate this pack a solid 2/10. C'mon, DTM! You can do better.

Hey Shawn, is it possible you could do a review of the Steam version/release of MachineRail's WM H9 dlc?

Watching this with my laptop linked into the TV via HDMI, but able to see both, and it strikes me the TV image has the washed out look you're complaining about, and the laptop not so much. Brit here, so I've no idea if either set of colours is more right than the other, but I wonder if it all comes down to personal display settings and it all looks fine on DTM's monitor settings. ISTR there are utilities out there for calibrating monitor settings, but I've never bothered to go down that particular rabbit hole.

As a GE fan, I will be getting this pack at the weekend.

What graphic settings do you use

Why does DTM's horns always sound like a garbage compactor crushing a bunch of clarinets that have whoopie cushions connected to them with holes punched through them?

I just noticed that the headlight switch of the U25-C was spinning while running and, because of that the headlights were on

Are you ACTUALLY surprised at this half assery? Im not, DTM fell hard and its not even funny how poor the stuff coming out is. I personally cant believe people still pay for this stuff, much less defend it (cough cough buzz cough cough).

As far as I know, those things are loud, but NOT THAT LOUD.

I already knew it was coming and I'm here to laugh at DTM's failure again. I swear, I get off on DTM fucking shit up, it's just so fun watching him get shit on and knowing he damn well deserves it for the lack of effort his content ends up having. I already knew this dlc was going to be bad. I've seen the facebook posts of the locos and the minute I saw the headlights, I just knew.

At this point you have to ask who buys his stuff anymore to make it profitable for him to keep make them?

I'd like to know as well. I'd bet we'd be surprised though. The fact its little to no effort butchering prev models, literal copy/pasting scripts and using substances painter for 15 mins its profit

@@schnauzahpowahz I have the DB BR 155 with the Koln-Koblenz route which was made in 2014, everytime I drive it I am amazed how well this loco was made by DTG in 2014 and how hard the quality has fallen in the next 10 years and with it all the players expectations...and now we get this "amazing" 2009 quality products from DTM. BTW if you guys never tried the br 155 I highly recommend it even if it is from 2014.

People like ole Buzz, lol. Man comes running like a loyal lapdog every time anybody even slightly critizes any DTG-Approved American content. Theres quite a few people like that, they'll drop everything and buy anything the day its released, singing its praises to the heavens before even testing.

DTM is yet to regain my trust as a customer. I don't want to support a developer who always puts out sub-par products, unless they can change their ways for the better. Even just looking at the external model and ugly washed-out liveries, I could already tell that the U25B wasn't good. Don't even get me started on the lack of high-hood variants. Also, why is there a Santa Fe livery in a pack focused on BN and its predecessors? And that horn is identical to what he used on the LWT-12 Aerotrain from however many years ago.

Looks like another American pack to ignore 😮‍💨

I will say this from a railroaders perspective. The reason why searchlight can get so accurate is because most if not all are or were railroaders themselves. Its unrealistic to expect the same quality from non railroaders who one can't get up close 1 on 1 time with locomotives 2 have never felt it for themselves for physics. Im not saying these arent ass but I expect lower quality to a certain degree from people who do not work with trains. Also talking about when you put it in notch 1 they actually take off pretty quick light engine so its not unrealistic.

Yet Diesel Workshop kicks DTM's ass up and down the street and he's AFAIK isn't a railroader either. How come he can put out equipment at a decent quality but DTM cant?

@@Killer-Of-Night here lies the problem if everything is going to be compared to searchlight then everything will be inaccurate. Even going as far to complain about the color green in this video. I want you to look at a car from day 1 to 5 years to 25. It will not match the original color at all.

@@trentongray1818 I never made a mention of Searchlight Simulations? It doesn't need to be uber accurate, it just needs to be good enough, which DW does very well, their stuff isnt Pro Range, but its where DTM and TBT "should" be quality wise for how long they've been doing this for.
