Train Flies Over Bouncing Bridge With Radar Speed Check! CSX Train On Sharp Curve In Hamilton Ohio!
Ойын-сауық
Fast Train Gets Speed Check By Radar! CSX Train Grinds The Rails On Tight Curve In the City! CSX Trains At The Railroad Interchange Entering Norfolk Southern Tracks. Norfolk Southern Grain Train On CSX Tracks. Whose railroad is this anyway? Lol
The first train is crossing over the railroad bridge that bounces slightly when heavy trains cross it. We check the speed with radar. This train will pass through Hamilton, Ohio minutes later just like all 4 trains in this video do.
Next we see 2 CSX trains in a row exit the CSX main and enter the Norfolk Southern main at the interchange in downtown Hamilton. The reason for this is that the tracks use directional running. There are exceptions to this but for the most past the CSX track is for northbound trains and the Norfolk Southern track is for southbound trains. Both lines wind up at Cincinnati. CSX has the Queensgate Yard and Norfolk Southern has the Gest Street Yard. Both yards join near Cincinnati Union Terminal. After trains pass north through Hamilton, most of the CSX trains run north on the Toledo Sub and the Norfolk Southern trains veer off west on the New Castle Sub into Indiana. The CSX line is considered railroad north and south. The NS line is considered railroad east and west. I hope I explained it well.
The last train is a Norfolk Southern train on CSX track as it heads toward the New Castle Sub. This is a grain train. The last 3 trains in this video were filmed in almost the same area. I moved slightly to get different angles to keep it interesting. I was filming these trains with 3 other railfans. I was their leader. Lolz!

I'm from England, where the original Norfolk is. I pronounce it Nor-foke (with the stress on the first syllable), but as far as I am concerned you can pronounce it any way you like as long as people can understand you.

And in northern England I would pronounce it nor-fuk. But it is a corruption of north folk which is closer to how you pronounce it. Given that US English branched from UK English over 250 years ago plus the influence of Webster on US vowel pronunciation yours is as good as any.
Nice trains JT this morning lots cars or trucks and very tight curves and beautiful beautiful buildings awesome ❤
An all unit train day.. Good variety without JT freezing and its was sunny. Everything came together which is the type of the dispatchers also love

Another awesome video from Jaw Tooth. It's nice to know that there are still mechanical bells out there. No offense, but I'm not crazy about ebells but oh well, it is what it is. Going to enjoy the mechanical bells that are still out there. Have a nice day😊🌈

That bridge is like a see-saw.
When I lived over on MLK Jr Blvd in Hamilton, I could always hear the trains going around that extremely tight curve area near the MOW area. And always in the early AM on certain days, could always hear Amtrak Cardinal Train buzzing thru.... That's definitely a high railfanning spot where you were at cuz I also used to live on Heaton Street and not have to go far to see the trains.... Saw the upclose of the bouncy bridge, I guessed 50 mph on radar.... Great Video Jaw Tooth.....
I am the conductor up there on the 3370 at 12:30, cool video

Terrific catches JT, and yeah that NS train was really hauling the mail over that bouncing bridge, other cool trains as well. Not sure if I could be much help in pronouncing Norfolk Southern correctly either. Another classic JT, thanks.
I loved that tight curve, thanks for the video
That's neat watching those CSX engines cross over to the other line. More great live action... ahhhh yeah 👍 I thought you were pronouncing Norfolk correctly Awesome videoooooooooo !! 👍👍👍
I think that they're talking about the pronounciation of the city of Norfolk which is Nor-fuk or Nor-fik. In my opinion, the railway should be Nor-folk.
I'm late to the party. However and as usual watched from beginning to end, thumbs up, and a comment. Thanks for sharing your fine catches.

Good morning jaw tooth, awesome live action.
Great job as always thanks. Chris from England
On 17 January 2023 you started out at the Norfolk Southern bridge that bounces. It was interesting to watch the bridge bouncing as the train crossed it. I noticed the McDonald's Arches in the background as you were waiting for the first train in Hamilton, Ohio. The McDonald's restaurant is near the new location for the Hamilton, Ohio depot that was moved. You then went over to one of your usual locations in Hamilton, Ohio near the old paper manufacturing plants. The trains that you saw this day were interesting to watch.
Norfolk , like howdy ''folks'' but that's just me ... Good live action Son ... Mr String has a new vid out today as well ... Railfans rule !!!

Reminds me of Suffolk VA
It seem as though a lot of those grain cars have had some attempt to remove the old graffitti, prior to new graffitti being applied.
You say “Norfolk” just fine. My Mother was born there and your pronunciation is just like hers…
Great video JT. That NS train was bookin over bounching bridge...... looks like you had your entourage with you today. Btw your pronunciation of Norfolk is fine.... everyone is going to have a slightly different twang... doesn't make it wrong. We know what you were talking about.

Norfolk, or Norfok. Some regional variation in the way it's pronounced is inevitable. Whether you pronounce it with the 'L' or without, both are correct, depending on where you're from. We in the UK tend to go for the one without the 'L' pronounced. But Hell, we're British - You're thousands of miles away. Who really cares or is genuinely affected by how it's pronounced? As long as we understand what you're saying, Right? You are fine the way you say it so don't listen to those "Purists" who think their way is right. Love your videos, Brian. Keep 'em comin'.

Excellent good video, mr Jaw Tooth. By the first train you say that you had the radardetector with you and my brain says: why mister JT the speed is 47 mp/ h. O.k. you measured 45 mp/h i was 2 mp/h wrong But then in Hamilton Ohio that train from CSX man that is great 4 great diesel beasts on the front. And than the NS graintrain was the train loaded? Jim: I grew up around Philadelphia still remember the reading, Pennsylvania Penn central RR used to watch them on the west Trenton cut off in fort Washington
The bouncy bridge reminds me of the advertisement showing a young girl with her finger going bouncy bouncy on her dads computer screen and suddenly he was on the phone talking to customer service of some company that the girl had run up over $100,000 worth of orders and he was in a panic about it... made me laugh.
I think that is the track where it used to stop traffic downtown back in the early 80s on the main east/west road,by the time I started coming back there the road went under the tracks.
Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
I noticed most eastcoast intermodel trains only run two locomotives Out here in the west the average intermodel train has 4 to 6 locomotives.and they're twice as long.. Love your videos Thanks JT.👍🇺🇲

I can't get over the length of these train's.
More bridges, please, esp. crossing "La belle riviere", the Great Miami and the Little Miami... What do we know about our industrious graffiti artists? Who buys their gallons of paint; picks their colors; pays for their brushes; who interprets their messages? The Almighty? (I like your dogs.)...Railroad companies used to have catchy slogans that were stenciled on the box cars of old. Maybe s/o could hire a few graffiti artists to do something cogent and creative?
Good video
