Very nice. Love to see those old road names mixed in with the new. Those GPs and original livery, represent a corner stone in railroading history not to be forgotten. Thank you for the post.

My stomping grounds as a boy in the 70’s. The Claypits. We would climb down the trestle to the island.

While I was waiting for them to shove across on their outbound trip, someone walked by me with the intent of using the bridge as a short cut. I yelled at them and they abandoned their attempt. Wasn't so much them walking across the bridge but more so getting in my picture-LOL.

I am a GTW fan from way back in the 70's, these 4600 series engines were built not far from me in Battle Creek MI. in the late 1980's.

I grew up seeing and listening to them prior to being rebuilt. Good memories.

@@killerbee6310 I did as well, I started rail fanning in the mid 1970's and visiting BO Tower in Kalamazoo in 1976. I was born in 63.

I grew up in Birmingham and spent a lot of time in the 70's at trackside so is great to still see GTW every day.

What a jump from Clint's CNW passenger train shown on last week's film to a GTW GP with the WC caboose shown here. Whatever train is on there it still looks impressive

If anybody sees it GTW GP38 5861 was the very last NEW loco delivered to the ROCK ISLAND RR, its original owner. GTW bought it, and a group of GP38's following the CRIP's bankruptcy.

Wow, gotta give credit to the crew for having the guts to ride across that old bridge. It's not the same as when the C&NW owned it and had a inspector regularly checked and a B&B crew doing maintenance.

Love seeing you in the Manitowoc county area. Any chance you have any WC footage of the Kiel area from when you were an operator?

@killerbee6310 thanks! I was in town today and they didn't go, but they also seemed to have no cars for them. So that makes sense.
