His owner and I are having a discussion about the ramp and the importance of training the horse to always come back to the ramp (or the entrance for step-up trailers).
We want to make sure that the horse feels good when on the ramp. So time on the ramp, letting the horse chill without any pressure is a good thing to do throughout the training process. Rewarding the horse for coming back to the ramp will help when you get into trouble.
