Lost my running pup last month. He was a GWP and he ran with me until his last days. On our last run he stopped. We sat by the river and I knew it was his time. He gave me his last run. It still hurts, missing him. But that's love. That's living.

Couldn't help but finding myself watching this again. I can't believe this hasn't hit millions of views. One of the all time greats.

This has been, and continues to be, my favorite and most inspiring video on KZread. I could go on about why, but if people take the time to watch it and listen to it, they will see. Thank you for always encouraging me to get out on the trails with my pup, even when its raining, to experience the joy of life..the most beautiful way to bring together a human being's love for the earth and the unconditional love and happiness from our four-legged friends. I go see all the banff films each year and this will always be my favorite!. I've probably watched it 50 times and still love it like the first time I saw it.

+GENQC I agree with you! As I watched this video I had my dog next to me and I was shedding a tear thinking that eventually he will slow down... and then who will be my side kick on my runs and bike rides? ;( very inspirational: "Live in the moment" I guess.

AHHHHH! This one gives you the feels if you have a dog!!! Dogs are the best running buddies. "Always go for a run even when it's raining, enjoy the journey, never forget to play, and feel the joy of life."

This is one of my favorite videos I ever seen, six years ago my son recommended to me. Maybe because I enjoyed a lot to run in every time I finish raising I always thanks God, Don’t ask me why but this week I had an attack off hip and couldn’t got out, Finally after a Medical treatment the hip is gone thank God, the views in this video The story, the Tom Rosenthal’s music. Since My son recommended me this video once in a while I watch it besides I like. I like dogs but this one I remember with sadness , he used to run together he was so smart, I never had to taught To use A leash. Les I have to say that I identify with this guy in his solitude even though is not my case but most of the time I enjoy running alone and I calling it my running meditation.🎉

Whenever I run trails with my dog she very quickly gets sidetracked jumps in the river and has the time of her life at the expense of my pace. But I quickly realize that that's what I should be doing. I love everything about this video. It's beautiful and inspiring.

That's what trail running with a dog will teach you: enjoy the experience of being where you are and take in the world around you. Forget your pace, in the end it doesn't matter.

Like most dogs they have it figured out, Happiness is so much simpler than you might think. Real happiness is uncomplicated by rush of life, how much money you have or dont have, what you have or haven't accomplished and is beyond what you feel good or guilty about. It is about our relationships with the earth, nature and each other. Always go for a run even if it is raining. Enjoy the journey never forget to play and feel the joy of life. Jump for joy when you're happy. Surround yourself with the people you love. Live in the moment, have boundless energy. Listen more than you talk, but when you do talk speak from the heart. It's never too late to learn. Look for the best in everyone and be loyal. Love unconditionally and shine with all of your light, all of the time. You're Welcome. ;)

I lost my running companion Barley at 14 to cancer just last June and I miss him so much. Like Pépite, he taught me to just "be". Missed forever; never replaceable. Thank you for triggering some memories - and some tears. edit: went out for a woodland run for 30 minutes; the first run again in - ten years - good to feel Barley by my side again. Always there in spirit.

Trail running with your dog is literally the best thing in the world and I'm definitely not crying

Easily one of the most inspiring and most beautiful films I have seen

this just made me cry. What a beautiful video. I love my dogs, and I love running. One of my dogs is now a little older and she cannot keep up anymore, but oh man, the lakes we have bathed in, and the valleys we have witnessed. If this is not the true definition of happiness, then I dont know what is. Shine with all your light, godspeed.

Had to come back and revisit this in March 2021. Still continues to be one of my favourite things on the internet

4 minutes of perfection. Not over talked nor over inspired narrative. Just nailing the most key fundamentals to a good REAL life... The problem with a lot of videos like this is most people cannot do these things so, to much inspiration can be a bummer for some...you have to pick your message wisely. I'm a true runner, I get it...however, I cannot always show the videos I love to people because there's usually somebody droning on a about bigger,better, faster, stronger, while running through the Alps! That never helps my friends who are overweight and broke, although they (all) humans can relate to wisdom.

"Enjoy the journey, never forget to play and feel the joy of life." Amazing!! I just got my first dog 2 weeks ago, and I plan to go trail running with she!! Let's do it!

Completed my 2nd half marathon yesterday and I made it less than 30 seconds before cut off time! "Pleasure is the child of pain" indeed!

Still my favorite video out there for the world to see....everything said in this should be everyone's words to live by, and the world would be a better place.

4 minutes and a half of pure wisdom ! Every single line is perfect i've alredy watch this video 1000 times , photography , music , edit everything it's perfect !

Make's me sad to think our beloved best friends can't around longer to share our lives. Dogs give us unconditional love and loyalty but can only spend a few years with us where as most humans who wouldn't give you the time of day stay with you like a bad rash. It's a shame.
