It'd be very close to what these games already do. Many actual residents of Florida are likely used to navigating intersections when the lights are out. Whenever a hurricane comes by, it wipes out the grid and we have treat them like big stop signs.

I knew that was bound to happen, but to clarify, at 6:00 they did not abuse power. In the state of California, you can legally turn right on red light, as long as it is safe and won't block any driver who is going straight in that lane and has a green light. Essentially, if it is at the moment empty and safe, you can take that turn, which was the case in the video. Normal NPCs also do this.

Not only in California but in whole Us! It’s drivers right of way if they are turning right, if there are no cars that may bump into you you can turn right even on red light.

Not exactly true. They can only do so if they have their lights and sound siren on (which is required when moving through busy intersection anyways). Obviously that goes hand in hand. They can't just turn on their lights and sirens without reason.

well they abuse the "emergency" part often. like the time I saw police speeding with lights and sirens through red lights and all just to find them parked in disabled parking spot in a petrol station getting some sandwiches.

@@PurooRoy it is. In GTA 5 it is common to see NPCs taking right turn on red lights. The reason it wasn't in older games is probably because how the traffic works. The NPCs need to determine whether it's safe before actually going in, so it couldn't be implemented in GTA SA for example, which has very simple traffic code compared to GTA V.

@@aircraft2 if someone does a video which incorporates US traffic laws (such as turning right on red light), one would think that they would make a research when they see cars doing that, before calling them out for breaking the law, right? I'm not blaming him for not making enough research, it is not commonly known law, but an argument that he might not be from US, hence it's okay to call someone out for breaking a law that doesn't even exist in that country is kinda stupid.

6:00 in California turning right on red light is allowed. 3:55 San Andreas' LS start area roads are basic. If you look closely there are no opposite directional traffic lights. Test needs to be re-done in Downtown LS, San Fierro or Las Venturas.

I have driver's license, and in real life, you just follow the rule of right hand or main road/side roads, basic stuff you do if there are no traffic lights basically. That's why most traffic lights will have additional signs on them.

Technically, gta 5 cops aren't breaking the law. it's legal to make a right turn. They stop at other red lights.

Whenever i see one of these videos, it brings me back at the year 2020-2021 days...
