So well explained and giving the importance at each stage e.g having the knots on the spring facing in the same direction. I really found your video helpful. A BIG THANK YOU!

I’m so glad I found this spring tutorial, I’ve made a Morris chair and I want to start my seat upholstery, I need help choosing correct spring size, along with a referral on where to purchase the springs and materials. Any help you could give would be extremely appreciated. Thanks Dale

Hi thank you for the video! Was very informative! I’ve been trying to find info on placing coil springs… for example how far apart should they be, and how far from the edge? Also when tieing down, how much of a slant should the springs be at the edge? What are the general rules? I tried to find your email to send pictures of the chair I will be doing

Would love to learn more. I don't see any information on sourcing materials. No spring info.

Thanks for a great video, could I have a spot of advice please? My 94 year old Mother, has a sofa from about 1900. The top velvet surface is all OK, but the webbing across the bottom has weakened and is hanging down in places. I've bought replacement webbing, a webbing stretcher and tacks and am happy to replace the webbing but this will have to be done from the bottom, I'm not keen to remove the top covering. Have you any idea how I can fix the springs to the webbing from the bottom?! Many thanks - Chris

It would be useful to know why you choose that particular direction of spring top ? Yes I understand they should all point the same way but does it matter which way ?
