TMAC was the most talented player of his generation. More than Kobe, more than VC, more than anyone, plus he was almost 6'9 and had crazy wingspan. He was Kevin Durant before Kevin Durant with more athleticism and a better handle. Injuries and a bad team around him when he was healthy prevented him from really succeeding.

I was at the Magic vs Cavs game on Christmas Day in 04(worked for magic for 10 years). That T-Mac vs LeBron matchup was awesome for so many reasons. LeBron legitimately stayed with him the entire game. Big Z won the opening tipoff and LeBron hit a little floater immediately, the next trip down LeBron hit a SMOOTH ass three and everyone was like damn he is about to run the league for a long time. T-Mac ended up with like 40 and LeBron like mid 30’s but that was 18 year old LeBron vs the most gifted player in the world at the time. I’ll never forget that game…

I give skill to Kobe. He was a regular guy with an insane work ethic. Jordan’s work ethic was crazy too but he had the gift of unnaturally large hands and a 48 inch vertical during a time when science didn’t really have a path to help you develop one.

I’m glad someone said it. Care to me, I’m picking Kobe because he took what MJ did, studied it, figured out how to implement it into every game, and turn it into something great to the point where this debate is even a thing. And to then realize that Kobe’s body wasn’t some standout, once every generation type of physique. Kobe had the body of a standard 2 guard, with the drive and knowledge of someone who studied the game. In my opinion, if Kobe had some type of natural, physical plus like lager hands, a ungodly vertical, or something, Kobe would have blown Mj out the water

Scoring Eff, MJ .508, Kobe .482, 2.) 3p% was the same and Kobe shot alittle more but scoring eff% shows MJ was still ahead. 3.) Steals, MJ +1/game, 4.) Rebs MJ +1/game 5.) Asst/TOV ratio, MJ 2-1, Kobe 1.6-1 When you compare their last 2 years, MJ was not bad with the Wiz, his 2nd year was pretty good, his scoring eff was 45% and Kobes scoring eff was 41%. . His first ring was in 91. 80s MJ was bullied by the Pistons. There's a whole documentary about it. Why would you say this? 😂 90s MJ was better. T-Mac was drafted 97. MJ won his last ring 98. T-Mac was coming off the bench in Toronto. Honestly he doesn't know what prime MJ looks like first hand.

I have no idea why people say kobe could shoot threes better than Michael when they shot a nearly identical percentage from there. These guys should check some simple statistics before saying some shit that just isn’t true🤦🏻‍♂️

Kobe Bryant, will forever be one of the greatest to play the game and made a tremendous impact on his and following generations, but MJ paved the way.

You do realize that the NBA moved the 3 point line closer back in 1994. They didn't move it back until 1997. MJ's 3-point shot skyrocketed to 43% because of this. He doesn't shoot the 3 as well as Kobe.

@@Kobesthebestest mj had two seasons in 89-90 and 92-93 where he shot better than Kobe’s career average at 37.6% and 35.2%. And that was before they moved the line closer. So saying kobe was a better shooter from three doesn’t really add up. At the end of the day they shoot about the same percentage from three, and like the original comment said kobe just shot a lot more from deep than Michael ever did. I’m sure if Michael practiced and shot more from three that his percentage would be better than it is. His thing was high percentage mid range shots. Which is why he has the highest percentage ever from midrange and is easily considered the king of midrange shots. MJ is the GOAT for a reason🐐🐐🐐
