Please note that the Rutlands & Parkside will not run on the Makita tracks due to the tipping lip, I modified the track being used by removing the tip lip.

Hi Steve, A brilliant comparison on the 3 Track Saws. I have seen the Lidl's on show a few times and if I did a lot of flat work I would have bought one. If things change and I need one I would probably buy that one as the extra money I would need to pay for either of the other 2 would not warrant it. I have quite a few Parkside power tools and they and they have always served me well and for the price really good value for money. Great tip on getting rid of the stock blade as well. As I've said before a great review and comparison and great to see you on YT again. Take care my friend. Cheers, Huw

The parkside is incredible value imo Huw and performed well, these saws are game changers for breaking down sheet goods and can be dead accurate, it was an impulse buy so now I’ve got three 😂 this’ll prob be given away can’t see me using it unfortunately 😏 Thanks as always for the watch & comment 👍🏻 Cheers Steve

An excellent comparison test, I was surprised to see that even the Makita had most of it's adjustment parts made from cheap looking plastic, not a very durable material for the money it costs, but I think you would have to be doing a lot of sheet cutting to justify buying any of them, I just clamp a 3 Mtr straight edge on the workpiece and use my Skillsaw, nice to see you back Steve! Thanks for the comments Chris, these saws do make cutting sheet goods straightforward, quick and accurate. The Makita one feels well made and great for using away from the workshop, maybe next a cordless vac 😉 Cheers Steve

If this saw cuts in the middle of the material or further away from the edge, there may be a problem with the hose line from the vacuum cleaner. The plain ribbed hose catches on the edge of the material and can sometimes lift the saw. I designed a hose guide that simply clips onto the track and a saw-to-hose outlet adapter that has a smaller angle than the original. There is no need to hold the hose by hand. kzread.info/dash/bejne/m2ZrmNeKkby-qKg.html
