My favorite songs by the gentle giant Trace Adkins are You’re Gonna Miss This, Then They Do, Just Fishin’, I’m Tryin’, Watered Down, and Every Light in the House.

I played this for my grandson recently. He's 29 just moved from home bought a condo with his girlfriend. I told him enjoy the two of you for a couple of years then you can start a family. There's no rush you are 29 and she's 24 plenty of time left

This is a really sweet and tender song. Why are we always in such a rush to be older? I do miss those days, and more than I ever expected. Thanks, Catherine, for your request, and to Harri, for your honest and vulnerable reaction.

@@Cynthia... Thanks very much, Cynthia 😊 I couldn’t figure out how to become a member on my phone 😂 I tried the laptop and succeeded. I was wondering why Patreon was so easy to join…I do miss the old days when they gave us instruction manuals. Well, better late than never 😉

This song touches my heart in ways I can't begin to describe. The year it was released, my boy were 36 and 23. Where have the years gone? The winter of my life is fast approaching.

Catherine, you are not to be underestimated when it comes to your song submissions. I certainly have heard his name, but not this beautifully written and performed song. Thank you Cat and Harri.

Yes Harri, this song really got to me. I buried my little sis last year and my little bro is dying of leukemia. 😭 When the times are gone, there are no do-overs. I am just actively cherishing the beauty and the people in my life while loving to my utmost everyday, knowing that when I am gone, love remains. Harri, thanks for sharing your humanity. Your heart is why I subscribed❤

Trace is a great artist with many varied hits. Arlington is a very patriotic American country classic.

I didn't miss high school one bit, I got picked on a lot. In college there was lots of freedom, but I wasn't good at being outgoing because I had gotten used to waiting for someone to say horrible things to me. So, I often kept to myself and my studies. I should have done more. I came home and my mom got sick and I was her caregiver until she passed, having to say no to the few job offers I got. Then my dad got sick and I was his caregiver until he passed. Seems like my life has passed by and now I'm an older woman with no prospects. God has a plan, don't understand it, probably never will.

Harri, a gentle correction on his name. It’s pronounced Trace as in you would trace an image on a piece of paper, not Tracey☺️
