TP&W at Morton, Illinois - September 10, 2013
Toledo Peoria & Western Railway GP50 #5009 pushes lumber load and caboose through Morton, Illinois enroute to Morton Buildings. Tank cars spotted for unloading at Fort Transfer Company must be pushed out of the way to reach customer at the end of approximately four-mile Morton Industrial Lead. Later, TPW 5009 re-spots Fort Transfer's tank cars and takes caboose and empty centerbeam flat back to East Peoria.

Barely alive, and hasn't seen a train since last summer.
that is real Americana. love those shortline videos.
Thanks for chasing them and posting it! It's sad to see the trackage in Morton continue to fall in disrepair, but it's cool to see the repaint assigned to the job!
A good portion of that line is abandoned, I know caterpillar in morton doesn't ship anything by rail anymore
like it good catch
Correction: That's TP&W 5009, not 2009.
