    I was interested in using this in bridge mode just as an AP. But it’s really disappointing to not see VLAN ID options when configuring wireless networks. So very sad considering the many TP-Link predecessor devices that do.

    Thank you for the device menu walk through. You've had it a couple weeks, any Pros and Cons? I did notice it was limited on creating multiple SSIDs as desired. I've noticed that some wireless clients don't do well on combined frequencies under a single SSID which is why they include a pre-built IoT option. Let me know what you think and thanks for this review.

    Hi, thanks for the detailed review! I have two questions about this device, if you could please answer them: 1. Does the Multi-Link Operation (MLO) network combine all the three frequencies (2.4. 5, and 6Ghz) or just 5 and 6Ghz? 1. I have a three story house and I am wondering if I can use two of these devices with the second one on wired backhaul and have a consistent WiFi 7 network with a consistent MLO network just like the Deco products? I am really considering two of these routers instead of going for the BE 63 Deco.

  • @HAVOK

    @HAVOK

    Hi there. Thanks for the comment. From what I see in the settings, MLO on this device combines 5G and 6G. However, the device already combines 2.4 and 5 together as a single network so in theory, it would be all 3 frequencies. As for a backhaul, there is a setting in the system admin to set the devices operation mode to an access point. However, I don't know if that will function as true MLO like you are asking. Hope that helps. Thanks for the support!

  • @HAVOK

    @HAVOK

    6 ай бұрын

    Appreciate the compliment about the beard and for supporting the video. I don't see why you couldn't add your mesh system to it. If it came down to it, you could always turn off the built in Wi-Fi and strictly use Wi-Fi from your mesh system. I know it may defeat the purpose of the Wi-Fi 7 but I imagine your mesh system is probably Wi-Fi 6 or 6E. Give it a shot and let me know how it turns out.
