Toys "R" Us 2005 "R" Zone Catalog | Retro Rampage
Ойындар
Toys "R" Us may be long gone in the US, at least for now, but these catalogs played a huge part in getting kids hyped up to go into the stores. The "R" Zone was the dedicated video game department inside every TRU store, and it may as well have been a store by itself. Join me in this episode for a nostalgic look back at what games were new and exciting for the holiday season 17 years ago.

I literally paid $100 for that 1 gig Sony Memory Stick back in the day, I have never quite recovered from that financially lol
It still feels so unreal that Toys "R" Us ever shut down, it felt like such a juggernaut, that I remember when the Wii came out, one of the workers bragged about Toys "R" Us never ever going out of business.
This dude is the most awesome. Definitely wish I had someone like him as a friend.
Old catalogs are fun to look at. I still have an old Hollywood Video/Game Crazy catalog (Movie Companion Issue 6 Publication 2005) from around this time as well. Many of the same games seen in this catalog are seen in there. (EX: Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie's Revenge (Which got recently at a convention on Xbox for $20.) Such a shame retro game prices are getting out of hand. (Especially GameCube stuff.) What I wouldn't do to get GameCube stuff at those prices. (Didn't have the best luck with the GameCube growing up.)
This brings back so much memories! Just happen to stumble upon your channel, and it gave me so much nostalgia. Lol Thank you! I wish I could go back again in the 2000s
Thank you for Toys R Us more good childhood memories 🫶🫶🫶
Well this was unexpectedly sad. It's a little surreal to see so many great games that have become so rare/expensive readily available at such low prices. I second your idea to bring back wonky console accessories!
Buddy, your stuff deserves way more views than you get
"PC Games have always been digital" news to me!
I had the original eyeToy! 😄
I Love these type of videos!, So much nostalgia
Love your videos, keep it up!
Toys R Us has a lot of PC games in their stores back in the day
I got one of those emerald blue gamecube controllers for Christmas in 2020
Amazing.
I am not going to say where the Washington Mall is, but some of you might know. But now it still sits there abandoned.

I have a lot of memories of going to that mall with my mom in the early 2000s, so I had to drive back to see the place for this video.
When I saw the opening of the video, I thought you were going to make a video on liminal spaces
🎶🎶🎶where you can be a Toys R Us Kid🎶🎶🎶
Good episode. P.s make more retro
Nintendogs was the reason I wanted a ds back then ❤
The Gamecube page depresses me. Retro collecting is out of control.
Madagascar i loved
Oh my goodness the page for the 360 do you remember dead or alive 4 on the 360? What about viva piñata?
16:58 i bought some of the pokemon games on the gba factory sealed from toys r us back in 2005. i wish i kept them sealed because if i sent all of those in to be graded, i would be a millionaire by now.
Now I'm sure this was WAY before the Red Rings of Death from the Xbox 360. So when the Red Rings did happen did the RZone stop promoting the Xbox 360?
Hey Rampaging Rex, this is a little off topic but have you heard about kennywood going cashless and only using cards. If so what’s your opinion on it
We are old I will subscribe, I'm importante we remember death lolol
What are some good vintage game expos in western PA?

I got a copy of Pokemon XD for $60 recently. ...it doesnt work, and did not include the box or manual, just the disc.
