So glad to hear your thoughts. Haven’t ridden it yet but really looking forward to it💦 I was hoping for a few animatronics in the queue. Not a fan of the font that they used on the signage. Would have themed the truck better especially not using a wrap vinyl style. They made quite a big deal on the weathervane, even showcasing it on a Disney Parks episode. Haven’t even seen it? I would have put it in the loading area and illuminated it at night 🤔 just being a little picky but I know some of the legendary imagineers would have kept it more in the 1927 time frame.

What ever happened to pay to get in and then go get in line for a ride? Now you need a phone and pay extra for something you already paid for. What's wrong with you people?

Technically, the ride does have a sort of villain. Lari, the Armadillo, is kind of lawful evil if you follow his storyline (starts in the queue) throughout the ride.

Having no Dr. Facilier on this ride is an absolute crime. He was easily the most memorable character from the film.

As Tim said, “it’s easier for kids”. What a ridiculous statement. Villains make the stories interesting!

I went on Father’s Day and had a magic moment when the cast member let me go on with my daughter. We enjoyed the ride too. It was a good update. It was nice they let Tampa Jay go on your virtual queue with you.

I look forward to the video when you take your mom on this ride! Always love seeing her!

Just remember when you get that passport you can head to Tokyo Disney and still enjoy Splash Mountain!

It's like riding a log ride thru a farmers market.

39:02 "It makes it easier for kids" is such a lame excuse for the reason they didn't add a villain to the ride. Disney didn't want anything Voodoo in this ride, which is stupid. Also for a kids ride, the height requirement is still 40in.

It truly is a FL Thing. Ok, I got wet on a ride; I'll dry off as the day goes on. But, to get Soaked by a Downpour is normally something people try to avoid. Unless, absolutely necessary. Such as, when heading to one's vehicle from a store. 😎✌️

Seems like damned with faint praise. Splash was my favorite ride. Would have loved to see the DOCTOR as part of this ride. If not, would have loved to see a song about being almost there, one of my favorite Disney songs. I’ll keep being hopeful.

Exactly! That’s key To selling Park merchandise from the very beginning. Experienced attraction buy buy the merchandise me, that’s that’s the Disney way! That’s why we love Disney! 😊

Rode yesterday morning and saw you but didn’t have time to step away and say hi. Anyway, rode front row and when I got off I looked like I had showered in my clothes

I think they definitely missed the mark by not having Dr. Facillier in the ride. Doesn’t really feel like an “adventure”. Tiana’s animatronic even seems kind of bored on the ride… especially when she’s sitting on the stump way at the end of the tunnel and waiting and waiting and waiting until she finally wakes up just to say one line. They could have refreshed and fixed up Splash and given Tiana her own ride and included Dr. Facillier and it would have been a big win… just my opinion. Great video Adam.

Dr. Facillier is never going to be in any Disney attraction because Disney deemed voodoo to be culturally inappropriate. That's why Mama Odie is a fairy on the ride and not a voodoo priestess.

It’s a love/hate with the VQ’s for sure. This was fun to watch & is making me excited for the Disneyland opening- can’t wait!

Those beignets look a lot more legit than the Mickey shaped ones are served over at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter, that aren't hollow but cakey inside. POFQ used to have the rectangle hollow ones like that but then replaced them with the Mickey shaped version for some reason and they aren't good.

I still feel Splash Mountain is way superior to Tiana's. I think Disney made a huge mistake not putting in any element of danger or Dr. Facilier in this ride. I feel the storyline is very weak. That said, it still has it's positives like the amazing animatronics, etc., but it doesn't hold a candle to Splash.

Agree 100%. They had a superior ride and destroyed it. While the ride track itself is the same, there is a lot of empty/wasted space with the visuals (Splash had 68 animatronics, this has 17), the ending song is nothing compared to Zippity Doo Dah and it didn't even capture the charm or fun of the Princess and the Frog. In my opinion, people will still ride it (if they can keep it up and running) for the hill and the water, but Splash Mountain will always be missed.

I just loved your final day of splash coverage. You certainly deserved the virtual queue for tiana and I really enjoyed this coverage too. I have a reservation for July 31 which means if I try for a lightning lane pass for that day it will be on July 24 when the new system starts . I’m not very hopeful. Also bummed that Peter Pan will be down during my visit.

The crowds look like a nightmare to me! I can’t believe you can go all that way for a special vacation and not get on a ride! The ride looked awesome, but they really messed up by not having Tiana in her evening dress! That is iconic and they need it and I really think Dr Facilier should be there. The animatronics are off the charts good! Thanks for taking us along!

Hello Adam. We’re glad you changed your mind about opening day for Tiana’s new attraction.

I rode it on Sunday last week, it was fun but I miss splash. Disney is so confusing, even with ability to go for free I still love Universal so much more.

I think it's a downgrade overall but I do like the bayou scenes and the finale.

What would suck, is if you spent $200 on a day ticket to ride TB and couldn’t. Well, come back tomorrow and spend another $200 😬

Yeah it was all for money and marketing. So with what happened in 2020 "summer of love", that was the perfect time to announce the retheme. They knew they were going to get a lot of backlash, so by doing so in 2020, they hid behind a shield. I think if it wasn't for the event in 2020, Splash would still be here today.

I love hearing "Are you Adam?" in the background as he tapes. I always look for when we visit and always wondered how he was meeting fans while at Disney.

12:25 I think that was a mistake on Disneys end. Yes they removed the rabbit piece head from the actual log, but it still made it in the toys. Probably the next batch of toys they will not have the rabbit head on the log.

I think the ride wiill work better in disneyland as its a shorter layout....the story seems stretched over splash layout and there is quite a bit of empty space.....the main animatronics are first class...but the lesser ones arent an improvement over splash ones.....shame they didnt build tiana from the ground up and kept splash and updated it.

@@TheDailyWoo the bobsled style logs are better on my legs than the cutoff side by side seating of that in Disney World. Nowhere near as cramped and you can't stretch your legs out at Disney World. Plus, if I didn't want my feet wet it was much easier at Disneyland to avoid that by sticking my legs out and lifting up. Many times at Disneyland I walked off with my body soaked but my feet perfectly dry. LOL!

Its like one of those bad rides in Dubai...Disney has been spoon feeding people pure garbage for so long now, they except whatever trash they serve up. This ride is a complete failure on multiple levels, has no sense of style or story and looks absolutely NOTHING like Luisiana and the Bayou, Dark, empty, boring and soulless. That isn't even getting into the fact that it breaks down all the time...

I don't know why Tim Tracker/ The Trackers have not been cancelled already

@@Keithsgamingchannel for the fact that they did very disrespectful/racist videos when he started his channel and when people called them out couple of years ago, they disappeared a few days and reappeared "apologizing" in a video for their behavior blah blah blah which at least I did not buy it they "apologized" because they got called out for it, they really did not mean it they don't care, that's just to start. Disney and Universal removed them from the media list and everything for some time because of this. Oh, and fun fact the videos after this incident magically disappeared.

This ride looks really good, a lengthy ride, great animatronics, the music i loved, and getting a good soaking at the end, just as it should be

One and done kind of ride, no real story for the attraction, pretty boring.

This ride is freakin sweet, but I will always miss the OG Splash Mountain. I went on it twice. Once eight years ago and once ten years ago. The first time, I got very modestly soaked. The second time, I was completely soaked.

I have not had the opportunity to ride this but I appreciate that you went in with 0 expectations and had a great time ! I know everyone has their opinions but there’s so people with very very negative opinions and I just can’t seem to understand where it’s stemming from lol.

Let’s go back to just waiting in line , isn’t that the fairest most equitable way for families to get on the rides they prioritize. I don’t want to go on this ride,but the family that does with 4 kids doesn’t have to pay more money, or suffer the melt down and disappointment of those kids that may have only had one day at the park. Even the fast pass system you had to prioritize and wit in line, there was an old hack if you booked through AAA travel where you could get two fast passes at a time. I waited in a 30 min line at rope drop once the year Radiator springs opened. It just seems so much more complicated and stressful and less magical😕As for removing villains from rides, if the villain is too traumatizing for a ride, why is it ok for a movie aimed at children?

My wife is an ER nurse for Orlando Health and one of her fellow nurses is probably the guy that was inside that Eisner era Mickey costume. I think she said he did it for 17 years.

I remember s Splash Mountain from my very last visit in 1996. The last time I was in Disneyland. If it's hot enough, I wouldn't care if I got wet. Yeah, been away that long. I'd probably like Tiana's too. Had a neighbor from Lafayette . She could make some awesome Gumbo and Jambalaya. Bet they'll offer that I bet. Jambalaya that is Glad you loved it fellas. I remember how slow the animatronics were. If they sped it up, they would look like a junkie having withdrawal symptoms. They've come a loooong way!!

There is no way I could do this with kids in tow. They'll have to do Disney the first time as I did the first time. As an adult with their own money.

We stood in line 11 hours for opening of hagrid’s and 3 of those hours were in a thunderstorm but we had a blast and made some wonderful memories.

I get where Tim is coming from but I think his point of view is based at least in part on his kids and their ages now. Kids get older quickly and I don't believe this ride is for the younger kids anyway (the final drop alone might be too much). Adding Dr. Facilier for a little more tension and excitement I think would work great for older kids and on up and really strengthen the storyline. Other than that, I agree that the ride looks pretty good.

I 100% agree that Disney makes it far too complicated to ride the big, new rides. Any visitor should be able to buy an admission ticket, and ride anything they want to (with a wait of course). It is way too complicated even for Disney pros. As for Tiana’s…the story is incredibly weak…I miss Splash. If this was a brand new attraction and didn’t replace anything, I would like it much more. But to replace our beloved Splash…doesn’t do it justice.

To me the ride just seems scattered and doesn't tell a coherent story. Splash was fine and I have no strong opinion on splash becoming Tianas Bayou. The new "splash" was just very meh, to me. Great video as usual Adam.

We rode it today Adam. It broke down this morning yet we got on after lunch. Pretty colorful & jazzy...not Splash but it was fun. Ty for the video!

We went in december of 2019 and was lucky enough to ride opening day of Rise of Resistance. We didnt even know about the virtual que system. Given how now every new ride is now a race to get the virtual que makes alot of the magic not there. I miss fast pass system.
