    I took a long road trip a couple of months ago, and my back ached for weeks afterward. I saw this video, bought these things and put them in. I just took another 1000 mile road trip and guess what. Perfect for me! I’m 6’ with short arms, and I’m finally able to get comfortable. The damn seat was too FLAT. I needed the support on the back of my legs. I can’t imagine raising the rear of the seat like some do. That makes the seat even flatter. I was seriously thinking about trading my 2019 in for a new one until I got these. Worth every penny!

    I mentioned back issues when i tried just the back spacers. I was planning to eventually make my own front spacers. These will save me some time. The socket issue is that black sockets are usually black to signify that they are impact sockets for impact guns. So theyre thicker/stronger. A extra bonus of a raised seat is under seat storage. So doing the passenger seat is worth it even though its not sat in most of the time.

    Dude… this video saved my A$$, hopefully. I will be trying these out ASAP. I have a 2019 Tacoma that gives me BAD pains. I looked at a 2022 this month and the adjustable seat gives you the support under your knees that this looks to do. I don’t feel like paying the 5k “convenience” fee the Supply Chain issues are supposedly warranting. Plus I like my Calvary Blue. I live in Suffolk, Va. Will be doing this within the month. I’m 6, 1” 195 can’t wait! I have been driving a Taco of some sort since 2013 and lately have been getting bursitis and having to do physical therapy. I hope this works!!!

Alot of the mods you do applies to my situation as well even though you're mostly overland build. I bought some of the organizational items you recommend and it got me jazzed from more Molle! If I were 5’7” I’d feel like a giant! At 5’3” tho, I have to say that the stock seating position is fine for me. I just recently traded a 2013 F-150 with power seats and adjustable pedals and the only thing that seems a little awkward in the Tacoma is that the steering wheel feels a little far away, even with it pulled forward. This is also true in my Prius-C....

    Tried them, while I liked the improved perceived leg room, I felt like I had to have the seat back sitting forward much more vertically than I like, and my knees were uncomfortably close to the steering wheel even at the top of the steering wheel’s upward tilt limit.

    I’m a little confused 🤷🏼‍♂️ help me out ... but isn’t the purpose of the seat jacket to change the ergonomics of the seating position, but you basically by adding both front & rear effectively kept the factory position of the seat other than raising it up ?? I would think by raising either front or back but not both would yield more benefits.., no??

  • @Tacomaholic

    @Tacomaholic

    Depends on what you are going for. You can raise front and rear equally if you are a shorty like me, you can raise only the front or only the rear, and then you can raise front and rear but use smaller spacers in the rear so you get some height and ergonomic benefit.

    I bought a pair of seat jackers for my 2.5 gen Taco looking for just a little bit of leg support. If you're just looking for a little bit of support DONT BUY THESE. After installing them it "jacks" the front end up way too high IMO. I figured I balance it out with some 1/2 in steel spacers for the back and it still does not feel right. Not to mention my head is almost touching the roof. With a price tag of $100, I expected to be a lot more comfortable than I currently am. If you're a shorter guy, like Tacomaholic, I would see how this is more beneficial, I'm at 6'2" so I think anyone over 6ft should consider going a different route. Most likely going to return the seat jackers unfortunately.
