I bought a 2024 Tacoma off-road model with the premium options. No regrets. Does not use a drop of oil, averaging 23 mpg, rides pretty smooth for an off-road model, and love the 8-speed tranny over the 3rd generation which I did own. Folks, the emission regulations enforced by the government are forcing all the manufacturers to make 4 cylinders over the V6 models as a whole. It's a matter of time the auto industry will have to make changes. No, I am not a fan boy of Toyotas like some armchair warriors point out. To each their own, but I am happy with my 2024 Tacoma.

Good for your you man. At the end of the day we drive what we like. However most of us are more upset with the price hikes over the engine change. We don't mind the extra hp/tq. I mean we would prefer bigger engine displacement, but asking to pay 10-20k over MSRP in most dealerships along with interest rates being higher than they used to be ,regardless of excellent credit, across the nation is not worth the changes they made. with that price hike you could just turbo or supercharge the v6, get it tuned and still mod it how you want on exterior and interior.

Wow! Toyota went stupid downhill! As I mentioned this before, I purchased a fully decked out 2023 TRD Off-road, V-6 for 42k. Premium Package! The new models suck, and quite ugly too! Nice man congrats.. I’m seeing more and more 4th gen tacos outhere. Mostly sr5.. I have a taco sport and i absolutely enjoy it.. except for that auto brake assist 🤣.. I disable it all the time . Yeah I I can brake on my own thanks.

When I sold Nissan's right out of college in 1990, We would always run door buster sales. A loss leader to get people in the door ( no internet, no iphones no computers no KZread and NO facebook! Anyways, it was usually a hardbody base model for $5,000.00. ( I know, crazy!). Toyota back then was known for quality but even then they were crazy stingy on what you got. On a base model single cab,, you got a 4 cyl with carb. 4 speed manual shifter.. Vinyl bench seat. basic gauges. no radio no ac. no rear bumper and no fancy wheels. No sliding rear window and crank windows and manual mirrors.. You got 14 inch BIAS PLY tires. AND YOU LIKED IT! lol ( sorry caddyshack)

Its cool you're comparing the GMC & Chevy's as I think there's quite a few people looking for alternatives to the new Tacoma. Personally after nearly 40 years driving Toyotas, I currently drive a 20 Pro, I'm giving a serious look at the Ford Ranger Raptor. Its a really nice truck with everything that the Pro or Trail Hunter offer plus more. Maybe you could take a look at one for us Kenny. 😉

The only thing I like about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma is that I thoroughly test drove one and that I don’t own one.👍🏻👌🏻

I own a 3gen Tacoma I have to admit I like the new one just unsure of the motor and the price is a bit too much

I like the new Tacomas, but I just can't justify spending $55K for an Off-Road. If I could get $48K out the door for a TRD Off Road Premium Package, then I would 100% do it.

Exactly the price is the biggest problem with the new truck. It’s a $23,000 difference between an SR5 4 x 4, the Trd pro ! SR5 Trd sport Trd off-road are now all basically the same price give or take $1000 or 2 thanks for the reply and feedback my friend. Have a great weekend. Thanks for checking out the channel.

Perhaps it's news for some people, but they come with a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty on the powertrain and a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.

If I wanted to gamble I would go to Vegas. For that amount of money for a Tacoma it's not worth the price on a truck where the transmission can take a dump.

4th gen looks better. We’re three model years into the Tundra, the Tacos will have recalls too.

The Colorado interior is much better than the Tacoma but… ur right the Toyota is better looking on the exterior!

The problem is Toyota isn't good value for money. I'm in the market for a mid size truck and ive drove everything on the market. All the other trucks come well equipped for $45k. That's an entry level TRD Off Road Tacoma. I can go get a Ranger FX4 for $44k with a proper infotainment screen, 360 co pilot, power inverter / outlets in the bed and many more items. Oh and they have real skid plates. Toyota didnt even out proper skid plates on the 24 TRD Off Road. I like the Tacoma but I'm not paying well over $50k for it

I’ll be interested to see when Toyota does finally acquiesce to the fact that they have a big problem. Should be interesting! 😂

As the leader of the Tacoma pack watch gang, I feel attacked lol These new tacos are hideous. The body lines are weird. You can get a Z71 for the same price as some of these SR5s you're showing. That's sad. Colorados are always selling like hot cakes, but it seems like these Toyotas aren't moving well at all. I get compliments of my Z71 all the time. Breakin necks lol. Granted, I put a lift, new wheels, and 33s on it but it was nicer than the new tacos stock. Not to mention better output

Have to agree here. ‘24 Canyon AT4 w/2” lift and it gets a lot of looks, especially from guys in 3rd gen Tacos.

Toyota will never recover from this downfall this turbo era will kill there reputation along with dumb high prices no average mothalova can afford these vehicles on 50k a year salary

I’ve seen quite a few of them now(while passing them in my Canyon 😂) and they definitely look better in person than in pics and videos. Still not as good looking as the GM trucks to me.

3rd gen looks better
