I’m loving this series. On my Hilux I have an ARB rear bar that works really well and provides protection to the panels behind the rear wheels. One change I had to make was to install an angle exhaust tip, otherwise the exhaust would blow straight back onto the rear bar and on a long trip heat it up.

Watched this video in the swag this morning while camping in the Coffin Bay National Park after driving in. After seeing the effects of lowered tyre pressure decided to drop mine a bit more than I had previously for the drive out today. Also made sure traction control was off lol. Made such a massive difference flying over the soft stuff as opposed to bogging down and struggling significantly more on the way in. Will go straight down as low as I did next time for sure. Learning experience I guess

Its also a Toyota Hilux, from prev vids where it was in shot and other social media posts, I can see that its basically a stock Hilux, pretty much at the same modification level as Ronny's Hilux now (stock plus AT tyres). Although I love this channel, been following since its inception and I am also from Perth, and love a nice modified 4wd myself, I often think about the action and adventure captured with their modded 70 Series LC's and all the fruit on them etc, but yet the camera crew drive around in a stock Hilux and go all the places they do, so while it's not as cool and doesn't attract the audience, do we really need all that extra stuff? I bet the camera crew Hilux costs less to maintain, less fuel, cruises better on the long hauls than their LC's, of course wouldn't do the harder tracks as easily but it obviously still makes it (maybe with some winch/snatch strap help perhaps) and gets the job done.

Ronni, up under the styleside tub runners, you can install magnetic L.E.D lights along both long sides of the tray (tail gate to cabin) tucked up and out of the way of any interference. The panels are folded and create a c type channel section hidden out of the way of interference and also weather.

The bouncing of the rear end can be improved by increasing the weight as you mentioned, or by reducing the spring stiffness. For the load you were carrying the car was oversprung, because the stock springs are rated for the max load which is huge in those dual cab vehicles.
