Toyata she dont stop going land cruiser is the best aswell
Whatever about comfort or looks, out of the whole segment, it will probably be the only one still around in 20 or 30 years time going strong!

It's probably not too hard to soften the rear suspension by changing the leafs and shocks and adding variable air bags. Else put 150 kg of lead at the end of the rear bed.
Just FYI, the Hilux in the UK comes with 2 remote keys and 2 separate tailgate-only keys for if you regularly lock your tailgate…so you don’t have to disassemble the remote key every time. 👍🏻
Good to see you today in Sandyford. Great content Bob.
There's one of these driving around Wexford with a lift kit and it looks stunning! Great review Bob!
Looks truly Invincible, Bob. 💪💪
Great trousers Bob!
I own a 2012 hilux and it feels very sure footed when empty even on wet icey roads. Regarding no space for shopping I have a canopy so It can go in back. If you have kids then there will be a pram or bikes constantly in the back to stop it sliding down to the front. But if it does I pick up one of the children and get them to walk to the back to get the items. Plus point is they depreciate very slowly especially when they hit the 10k mark. I love my one after 70k miles of ownership.

Have a16 navara from new.no issues with 90k km.No problem buying another one only nissan stopped making them in Europe Dec 21. Looked at new isuzu d max but salesman couldn't be arsed to call me or return my calls. Gave deposit for new Hilux sr5 auto on Jan 8th for June delivery. Worth.the wait Navara was a top jeep but 2.8 hilux is the only one worth having from now on.Good and honest review just subscribed and looking forward to more.
Brilliant. Are the seats comfortable? And would you say there is enough room for a 6ft 4 drivers?
I really like this car due to its practicality and it shows that it is a potent vehicle overall. Thanks for the review.
Interesting to see what the rest of the world thinks of the New Hilux. Here in Australia we have had the 2.8 Toyota Diesel forever. Its all you can get Hilux in for past 10 odd years. Our top spec equal is called the rugged and then there is the rogue version which sit above the rugged. It looks like a Military truck with steel bull bars and snorkel. Hilux is the top selling "car" in Australia last 5-6 year. And Ranger #2. Its a Ute/ pickup kinda country. Interesting to hear you love the Amarok? Current version of Amarok is 10 years old and very dated now. They really need to refresh it ASAP. Also it doesn't have rear airbags? So family don't buy it. Anything here in Aust with a Toyota badge has insane resale values. Its just a brand people buy to take to the outback. Good review Bob.
Love you Bob.
I’m picking mine up in February
Hi Bob would you be interested in doing some towing reviews with these yokes. there is no one doing towing reviews in ireland or uk under our conditions with these jeeps. Would it be something you would be interested in doing? Cant seem to get any good reviews for purchasing a new jeep for towing. The only ones doing a real world test is TFL in the states. And some from Australia sites.
New King? When was it unseated?
No it is very good that the back is locked by a key, but it is possible to order the closure by central-locking. In my case I orderd by key which is safer. 😊
I've got a 15 year old Toyota Avensis 06 plate with less than 68,000 on the clock great cars!
Wonderful video. Btw, you're wearing a nice pair of shoes, would you mind telling its brand please

Fabulous yoke! I know it's not the easiest on diesel and quite expensive to buy but there's none of them are as you keenly observed. It'd be a good second hand buy.
Government here in sweden has killed these kind of vehicles, the tax you paid on the first 3 years is about 7500 euros for a new one! My 16 cost 500/ year! So its a keeper
Good man. Thanks

Great review.I have a16 navara from new and no issues. Have 90k km in Jan 22. Would have bought another one without hesitation only nissan stopped making them in Europe in Dec 21. Looked at New Isuzu d max and tried to do a deal but salesman couldn't be arsed to call me back or return my phone calls.Test drove Hilux sr5 auto on 8th Jan and left deposit for June delivery. It's gonna be worth the wait. Navara is a great pickup but the 2.8 hilux is the only pickup worth having.
There's also more cup holders under the side air vents carwow missed them aswell in there hilux video

Strange - in Australia the Hilux tailgates (all the way down to the base model) lock with the remote central locking. Not sure why they would change that for the Euro market.

Yeah, differents markets. In Argentina it comes with ventilated seats and some other features I have not seen in any other markets. Here in Spain is pretty much the same Hilux shown in this video.

I'm after trying the whole country I can't get one until May or June, and I think I'd need me head examined if I was to give that money for a motor that late in the year, sooo waiting till January.
Can you mount a 50cal on it? That's the real question.

Is it just me but do the wheels look small for this size of pick up? It could be that the massive wheel arch covers make them look small.
@BobFlavinVideo

Massive wheel arch is doing the size, the suspension travel is big
Being the same price of a yaris doesnt make the hilux good value it makes the Yaris stupidily priced. Good review though I love the new Hilux
Invincible is that Another name for the Rocco?
Next you need to try the Toyota land cruiser
Nice Pick Up Truck.
The Toyota is a the complete package but the Ford is by far the best looker! The VW is the only pickup that doesn't have a duel range cog box but instead relies on a very low 1st gear.

What no lock box under the rear bench , come on Toyota , so many shortcomings fix them for year 2
Leaf spring suspension
Go north to buy save 7800 euros with paying duty taxes and all higher spec and double the warrenty
2.8 GD 6
Ford could mange the boot to lock with the key

It is easily done, they also have wires there for braking light, and it is cheap... but it is the matter of principle for toyota and I kind of cherish that..if you really use this vehicle hard or use it for work you get a lot of bumping with tailgate doors and it will malfunction soon..so they keep things simple...and 90% of buyers don't use covers...we see only European and australian vehicles but most of the arabs and south americans use hilux as it is with open bed
uncomfortable with no air conditioning or heat for the rear seat, why?
Love the Hilux but the non central locking tailgate is a big no
Michael Delaney 😀😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😀😀😀
@Bob Flavin Great video as usual, great work . Have to say the Ranger wildtrack is miles ahead, similar suspension, better price, Smooth gearbox, all the toys, great torque more bhp, and looks better , i am biased 😉,

Full work truck trunk should be able to fit a whole piece of plywood/drywall (idk the dimensions in the UK). A model sans rear cab and a v8 would be perfect all around work truck.
Sorry Bob.. How can you possibly rate that over a Ranger Raptor?? Sure it can carry more load, but there's a LOT the Raptor has that that thing doesn't. When you tested the Raptor, you said how comfortable and compliant it was. This is jittery and uncomfortable, yet it's king of the segment?? That'll be the cart springs for you rather than Fox coilovers... And... what on earth are the ugly bits of plastic on the top of the wheel arches???? Looks are subjective.. I think it's pig ugly and very cheap looking. As for having no boot, it's got a huge boot!! The trouble is when you get home your shopping is normally up front behind the cab and I end up crawling in under the roller cover to get it.. I still gave you a like BTW...
@mbal4052

Raptors def are a mean looking bit of kit but for me it wasn't an option. It's not rated as a commercial vehicle here in the North so I wouldn't get the VAT back, have to pay massive personal tax so would work put almost twice as expensive. I just got a new Invincible fully kitted, 0% interests, £2k dealer contribution and I'm well happy. I will probably add a set wheels and tyres to fill the arches a bit and she'll be perfect
@venge54is17

well toyota will last 20 years of hard use, ford will not... and yes raptor is cool looking but just because bigger wheels... it is 20k more in my country, when I put 20k of accessories on hilux it is far far better... they are just not in a same category... 20k of upgrades on this it is a beast

Nice car...but that voice over part was a big pile of crap...
I LOVE THE VIDEO THE CAR BUT THOSE FRONT PLASTIC FENDER kILLS THE BEAUTY LOOK AT THE REAR ONCE LOOKS LIKE A TOY
Just for a bit of balance not blinded by whatever. Those tie-downs are totally inadequate. No spring assist for the tailgate. No ladder rack. Lower than average rear seat space for the class. Very black interior with piano black in abundance which shows every spec of dust. It looks like a pickup, nothing more than very average. Noisy engine. Suspension typically the harshest in the class. Only six speeds in the automatic when main rivals have between seven and ten ratios for better refinement and fuel economy and towing performance. No paddle shift. Exceptionally expensive. Toyota really should do better than this mediocre model.
VW Amarok is better looking.

I'd say Ford Ranger is the most handsome but Amarok is great in top spec
Buckets of shit. Seriously get over Hilux.....
Really a waste of money and not a good effort put into it as gear ratio is crap and still no improvement regarding drive ability . To me Ford is the king of pick up trucks
