my rexton is two year old and 30,000 kms, its excellent for long distance travel and its off road abilities are great.

How is the resell ?

rexton gives a very good driving experience and comfort in highways.its the best for long journeys. If you prefer more of comfort, rexton is a better option. In case of off roading rexton does not make you unhappy. It has a pretty good 4 wheel drive and the brakes of it is actually very good. even @180 kph steering is really good and v il never feel any heaviness while driving... as of my opinion rexton is a better option who go for long journeys a lot.the only problem i felt is that the interior is a bit old fashionedand no new model of rexton has released.

How many KMS have you done on your Rexton till date? I hear that there is a lot of engine noise that seeps into the cabin. Is this true in your car also? I was very much impressed with the interiors, but still waiting for a test drive from the Mahindra dealer

Love your reviews....so crisp, clear, and well thought out.

rexton is built for comfort with softer suspension therefore wide cornering will give a bit of roll... solution is hug the bend at higher speeds. fortuner is a stiffer vehicle setup. the problem is the driver not the vehicle

fortuner looks like gangster SUV or NETA-GIRI TYPE

Driven my Fortuner 1 lakh kms and still the car has no problems at all. It still drives like a new one and i love it so much that i'm soon upgrading to the automatic transmission. It's a pleasure to drive and has an edge in case of engines reliability as its toyota, better at high speeds, planted and a very good off roader. And the best part is the high resale value given by the Toyota badge makes it a great deal.

If you get a chance to drive Rexton RX7, please comment after that, definitely you will change your opinion, if you are not a biased person. Fortuner is just a 15 L vehicle sold at a very high price, while Rexton is really a value for money Vehicle.

i disagree on this one, i bought the Rexton 7 nearly 5 years ago... and its almost perfect on all accounts, even my Driver liked it best... and one auto engnineer tested its 0-100 and said, boss this accelerates like a Beemer X3. or something of that category... I just love its audio and Luxurious , sofa type interiors... Fortuner is brutish but good in that way, i use it to ferry my wife and nephew, and its our favourite car. Till this time , i did not understand luxury cars... and although i rode them in my friends cars, could not afford one. THis i could afford, and its too mindblowing. My only regret is paying for the 5 year warranty package. It not only needed anything, it is cheapest to service also, .. i should not have got that .... but for mental piece... Best part is, when my brother in laws takes the whole family for a drive, i sit in the last seats. with the kids... its spacious enough. Or when i move stuff from Pune to Baroda and vice Versa, i have half my house in there. And as A photographer, I have a moving Studio in there, at the price of a Hassleblad ..!

As far as Resale goes. i know 3-4 friends who own it, and i asked how much you get in exchange, and they said,,, are you kidding, this thing lasts forever, why will we sell it!... That engine is too good.

Hi, i am getting one Ssangyong 2015 rx7 driven only 40k kms. Will it be wise to purchase? will there be problems in servicing, spare parts etc. My drive is mostly highways and rough roads. Please advice

Don't Know About The Automatic. I Own Rexton Rx6 Manual 2015.. And That Gearbox Is Fab To Drive.. It Has Smooth Throws and Isn't Jerky Unit. And Seating Comfort In Rexton Is Way Better Than Fortuner And It Feels More Luxurious.

Why not the Pajero Sport?

I would go for ISUZU MU-X, The suspension feels like the old isuzu trooprer, while the engine is quite powerful and efficient.

4WD + AT + Diesel = Sucks. It's sucks 6-10L/km and accelerate like a turtle, but the 2WD 2.7 VVT-i gasoline model is much better.

haha Diesel Common Rail is more powerfull and sucks lower than VVTi

Fortuner is good only thing that let's it down is the innova like interiors. Overall fortuner is much better than the rexton

Honestly though, both are pretty crappy cars.

Rexton is a joke, and looks like shit. Fortuner looks more nicer, and feels better to drive
