Toyota can’t get their SHIFT together… Serious Transmission Problems for the 2024 Tacoma!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Toyota just can’t seem to get their shift together… the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been a big fail right from the start. Between the countless quality control issues with fit and finish, panels gaps, questionable powertrain and production location… it’s been a disappointment for many. But now we have yet another serious problem. Faulty transmissions! The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is experiencing some serious transmission problems, many having reported: howling transmission, harsh gear shifts, losing gears, inability to shift and full up transmission failure. This is happening on brand new Tacomas with less then 4000
Miles on them. Kind of crazy to see Toyota experience issues like this on their iconic pickup.
Some owners are pursuing a lemon law buy back for their 2024 Toyota Tacomas. Between this and the huge price tag, I think it’s safe to assume it’s best to wait a couple years before trying to buy one. Same goes for the Toyota Tundra.
What are your thoughts on this? Is this acceptable? Do you think Toyota will remedy the situation quick?
Thanks for watching as always. Be sure to Like and Subscribe if you haven’t already, thank you!

I have NEVER heard of a manual transmission failure. They typically last the life of the car. I understand they detuned the manual Taco engine to keep drivers from tearing out the driveline. ??? That's an indirect way of saying they cut corners on the components. Dodge did this with some of their challengers. They were having rear ends give out, so instead of putting in stronger gears, they derated the 5.7 hemi from 395hp to 350hp, and said "Cool, problem solved". Typical for Chrysler, but I've never heard of it with Toyota. Their new CEO needs to be sent down the road. It's also possible they screwed up the heat treatment of the trans gears. They're all powdered metal gears which are absurdly strong, but if not heat treated correctly, it's asking for failure.

I noticed some reviews casually mentioning the taco transmission overheating under load. I had seen something similar with the tundra, overheating under load and going limp. I didn’t have any issues with mine and it shifted very well, but still disappointing. Seems like there’s no long term reliable options in the truck segment now, and that to me drops Toyota to last because there’s always been little sacrifices with design that you just accept bc Toyotas should last, but now they’re at the bottom of the heap in design and seemingly reliability.

Why does everyone ignore tbe one that gets it right, and complain about the un trustworthy brands they insist on buying?

Toyota should never have shutdown the Tacoma manufacturering plant in San Antonio, Tx., only to build two manufacturing plants for the Tacoma in Mexico. Another thing, a four cylinder turbo doesn't cut it. Improving the 3.5 V6 to be in the 300 hp range for the TRD and overall better quality would have been selling a lot of units, unlike what Toyota is currently experiencing.

You only need a transmission cooler on a big truck when you're pulling heavy load behind the truck like a fifth wheel trailer or something, other than that you don't need a cooler I have honed Ford Dodge never had any transmission problems with any of them worked flawlessly had them for many years high mileage also and now I have my Honda no overheating problems transmission shifts perfectly no issues that's the difference between making something good and Macon garbage. I could understand if Toyota always make crappy cars and Transmissions but they haven't before they've always been relatively reliable so now they're going backwards which tells me they have to be doing this on purpose not an accident at all. They have always made garbage I can understand them having these problems it's something you would be expecting, so their quality is going backwards so the customer should be turning around and walking away and buying something else don't support this garbage!!!!
