I wasted time reviewing a multitude of sites and this was hands down the best on this removal/installation.

I used this video to replace a right rear tail light assembly (yes the bumper cover has to come off!) on a 2017 Toyota Camry XLE - it was the same principal. Thanks so much! Mark

I have a Toyota Aurion 2012 here in my country and found this to be very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to upload this video. The Aurion is built on the same Camry platform but is a higher spec vehicle that also has the V6 as standard. The bumper install is the same with only a slight difference inn cosmetic appearance.

I have a silly question - what is the purpose of those plastic push clips on the bottom of the bumper (2 of them, one for each side)? Do they serve any aerodynamic purpose, because I just bought a used 2014 Camry SE, and the thin plastic part where the clip goes through that's closest to the muffler has been broken off, supposedly by the previous owner making a mistake. Does that thin plastic piece where the push pin goes through keep the bumper stable to dampen vibration? Sorry for the lengthy question. It's a difficult piece to describe.

Good video. I have a 2012 Camry Hybrid and there are two differences that people should be aware of though. I don’t know if all 2012’s are different or if it’s just the Hybrids. 1. There are a total of 4 body clips holding the bumper cover in place on my car. The two you show and two more near the left tire. 2. There are four white body clips holding the plastic trim piece in the trunk (the piece that surrounds the trunk latch) that stopped me from pulling it out. I had to remove all of the clips holding it in and pull the plastic trim piece straight up to remove it.

Not sure. 2001 - that's going back a ways. I think 1A Auto Parts have a video for that model year camry.

happywrenching is it the exact same procedure for a 2014 camry sport? I see that it's a different part online, and am wondering if i can use a standard 14 camry rear bumper cover to replace it, or if it's necessary to get the sport edition?

Yes the steps are the same on all the trims and while you could make the non sport bumper fit, I'm pretty sure it won't look quite right. The sides and rear of the bumpers covers are molded differently.

Where did you get the bumper from? My gfs Camry is the same one as this and being the SE model it’s slightly different, but for whatever reason it is 2x the price. Can I just buy a bumper from the other models? Surely it will look fine still

I pull my bumper half way off it caught onto my gate while i was backing in, i pilled the plastic latches that actually keeps the back bumper up. will it cost alot to fix it.

if you mean the black runners on the sides under the bumper, those are just the bumper brackets there only 30 or so bucks not a big deal

Every Camry I see on the highway has the side of the rear bumper fluttering lol

The steps are very similar but I'm not 100% sure that you have to remove the bumper cover in order to remove the light assembly. You may be able to remove it without taking off the bumper cover.

Hey quick question. I am removing a toyota avalon bumper to repair a dent. Is the removal procedure more or less the same for the avalon? Your video was very helpful.

Some of it is the same - there are screws and clips on the bottom of the bumper as well as the one screw near the wheel well. I'm not sure how the center of the bumper is held in place though.

Is it hard to replace the black plastic clip rack that the bumper attaches to? Mine has damage on the black plastic clips but the bumper looks fine.

Do you mean the two sets of metal brackets near the opening of the trunk? If so, the bumper part sandwiches over and under the metal brackets that the clips are a part of. Hope that helps.

I couldn’t get the bumper to pop back on the middle part where you must lift and pull to get it off, would it be okay to just leave it like that? Bc I pushed and try many diff angles and it did not want to pop in
