Toyota Aygo - What's it really like?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
First in the series of our Candid Car Reviews, where the guy's pick out a car for me to road test, at random, and I don't know what it's going to be, until I see with my own eyes the next morning. Right before filming! Can't get any rawer than that!
In this video, the guy's have adorned me with a Toyota Aygo. Okay, not the greatest of starts (for me!), but certainly one that will put me to the test to see if I can make a short video, sharing with you all, my thoughts of what the cars like to be in and drive.
I wonder what I will be blessed with next Thursday morning! Until then, enjoy the video and would love feedback - in what ever form it takes!
Thanks,
Stephen

Aygo was daughters first car. Took it to over 100k miles. 59 plate. Not refined at all. But bullet proof and ideal for a first car. She used to drive us into the football on a Saturday. Could park it in spaces you had no chance of a normal sized car fitting into.

Bobby, we had a customer than ran one alongside his M5 - all the way to 160k miles! They are great little cars and the 3pot seems to last for ever!
I realise lots are looking at ‘first car’, but we have one as our only car. We have had a mix of FTO gpx, z4m, 330i, cougar (2.5l). Now we have a 107 from 2014….. and it’s amazing fun if you are a driver and use it properly. So much fun!

Its not all about power, but what you do with it! :)
Wife had a Diesel one of these years ago. Great car brilliant fuel economy
Enjoyable and honest review James. I've owned an Aygo Xclusive 2015 for a few years as a second car. Ended up being used a lot more than I anticipated. Zero road tax (for this particular year) , good economy and cheap insurance are a plus. Not had any problems as they're pretty bulletproof. Although not a lot of horsepower, I do find that it's pretty nippy and manoeuvrable around town and enough oomph to keep up with motorway traffic. Sensible choice for anyone wishing to just get from A to B ... Look forward to more reviews and seeing your channel grow 👍

Hi SpankyFish! Thanks for the comment - they are a great little package. Modest in many ways, but really do all you need for a commute/first car and will be endlessly reliable (probably why Toyota offer such a long warranty!). There are a few more videos up. Please let me know what you think and any input, always greatly appreciated! Stephen
I quite like these , not that I’d buy one of course 😂 However for a first car , you could do a lot worse . My daughter has just bought her first car , I tried to show her one of these , she would t hear of it ! Ended up buying a bmw 1 series , £1800 to insure it !

Nice first car Carrera!!
I have a 2022 Aygo X (cross) and a Ford Ranger, so many times I'm out in the Ranger, can't find a parking space it will fit into, wìshing I was in the Aygo.

The Aygo must feel like a wee toy after driving the Ranger!

Hi James! It's nice to be different, and the 5yr Toyota warranty is a nice to have too. I was in your shoes a couple of years ago with my Daughter, and it's not easy! Want to have them in something thats safe, but also quite cool not to mention easy on the pocket for insurance. There's a lot of boxes to tick for a fist car! Going to have it all again with my Son in a few years. Good luck! Stephen
