This car is like a tool. Designed to meet specific expectations. And according to me it delivers all what should. This is a small, cheap to buy and cheap to run city car. Need more space buy bigger car, need faster car? buy one. This tool was designed to be used in city center where is as good as it can be with this price... Mission accomplished!

Fact of the matter is that the potential buyer of the Aygo doesn't give a flying hoot about cubic litres of luggage space, lifting a suitcase out of the boot or the 'refinement' of the car. They care (like most people) about how it looks and it looks MASSIVELY better than the Hyundai, Skoda or the VW UP! I've tested them all and they're basically all the same besides that last comment I made. The Aygo makes the others look like they're from the 80's

I don't see what people expect from this car? Yes it is moving from the previous very basic design which was made with money saving as a key priority, but you still have to remember, it is a city car build for a budget. What this car gives is incredible for the price and you will be hard pushed to find more for the price. I have the previous model and love it (I'm 18 year old), it's quick (for the 3 cylinder 990cc engine) it's comfy, quiet (despite what some may say), very economical and despite me being 6"6 I can fit in it easy and have a full cabin for long journeys. Don't listen to people expecting Mercedes or BMW options and luxuries because you simply won't get them. What you will get is a very well built car which can deal with anything you throw at it.

What's the point of having a car with big engine when there are fuckin cameras everywhere, and the speed limit is 70 mph in UK highways. Does it matter if you're driving Ferrari or AYGO ?

Another fantastic vid Rebecca. It looks ok but after doing my research I ended up purchasing the Up! On a huge discount. What a car! Brilliant little thing so comfortable on the road with it's excellent suspension and I get around 750km a tank of fuel. Sound system is awesome too. All this in such a small practical package. Good on you VW, now all you have to do is bring out the R400!!!

Lovely new little car & glad to hear this & also the new C1 & 108 obviously even though they haven't been reviewed yet, are quieter at speed & me owning an older C1 which I love, looking forward to the review of the new one :) It's a shame there appears to be actually less space in the bad than before, Matt being around my height, 5'10 or 11 was just comfortable enough in the back of the old car, & you could just fit in another person behind the driver with the seat in my position but only really for a short trip

I'd love a small car like this, but it's not practical for me unfortunately. I have a Focus at the moment and the boot's just about big enough for me. Plus while I live in London, I spend a lot of time with family on the south coast where it's extremely hilly so I need a car with a bit of grunt to get up the 15% inclines with passengers and a boot full of shopping haha.

This is for a reason - most people in Europe live in crowded cities where public transport is pushing cars out of city centers, so if you really want to have a car, it has to be small, Dodge Ram would look kinda out of place (literally). So car makers responded to those needs and make cool little bugs stuffed with extras like this one. Similar is the case with Japan (kei cars). Having said that, if I had a choice, I would much rather have a Ram or Mustang :)

I have just test driven a Brand New one, make sure you open the door with the engine running and the car shakes uncontrollably, the dealer said its because they have a 3 cylinder engine, I said so does my mini, I opened the door on my mini with the engine running and guess what no shaking, this one is made in collaboration with Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, this is the best of the 3, but its still a poorly built car, there are better small cars out there, may cost a little more, but at least you wont feel sick from the shaking, I would advise to avoid this car, its cheap for a reason, its poor build quality.

Does Toyota have a good reputation? C1 & 107 were same like Aygo.... and they are made not in Japan! So, who has a good reputation? Maybe it used to have.

One of the best for reliability. The 1kr-fe 1.0 engine is actually a Daihatsu design but Toyota own them so put it in their Yaris, Aygo, I.Q and C1/107 used it too. I have Daihatsu Sirion with 1kr-fe engine. Where it belongs!

A reversing camera, really? If you need a reversing camera in a car like this, go burn your drivers' license.
