This guy is a really good dude. He seems like a good person and I admire that he left his job to take a risk and start his new channel. For that, I don’t skip the commercials so that he can make more cash. Hopefully this channel grows.

It's not a new channel, he just joined his pops. I have watched a few TK episodes over the years. Either way it was a bold move to a smaller channel and agree that he has guts for that!

While this may be a Trailboss, the midnight edition package really makes this a more road friendly truck vs off-road (kind like the TRD-Sport package does for the Tundra). I'd rather stick with the normal Trailboss LT and get the superb Wrangler Duratrac tires.
Keep up the good work Steve! Loving your new channel.
Finally a fellow Canadian to review truck. You gave a genuine review (not like other truck reviews videos where they just go on and on about facts we can read online) and made it relatable. I am definitely going to watch more of your videos.

Loved your TFL reviews. Look forward to see what comes out of your own channel! Best of luck.
i really like the payload testing along with the trailer and off road. i feel that a lot of people buy a truck for the payload and barely tow a trailer so having a review of that would be super helpful!
Good on GM for including the Trailering stickers on their trucks. I hope the other manufacturers take notes and follow this trend.
Congrats on the new channel Stephen! Nicely done as usual.

@@sylvain-paulcote5470 No they have the least amount of diesel issues, least amount of recalls, least amount of class action lawsuits. Also the most swapped engines and transmissions are GM. They own all their own technology, such as electric motors batteries and self driving abilities. Do some research all other automakers are partnering with companies for tech. Nice, welcome back to KZread. Just subscribed. Hail to the hydra line.
Good to see your review - Love the TrailBoss! If 1/3 of that tonneau cover takes up 3ft of bed space, I guess that is a 9ft bed😉.
I love all the old school stuff TFL does. Like the Gun Smoke series. Once I pay off my 2012 Silverado I wanna buy an old school one. My first vehicle was a 88 suburban 4x4. Fun stuff though love the videos and would like a trail boss one day but for now I wanna pay off my Z71 and I can out money into that. Keep pumping out content. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I like the combined testing of offroad, towing and payload capabilities. I understand that it's difficult for you (as a start-up - I have no clue how you can make a living from that) to have longer loops for mpg testing with fuel filling (never trust displays), but that would give a more robust result.
@tyannhuffman6175
3 жыл бұрын
GM has never had accurate economy displays. We have owned several and none of them were any better than 1.5 or 2 MPG's optimistic, or showing more than when penciled out.
Killer truck my brother inlaw bought a 6.2 trail boss, definitely an upgrade from his FX4.
Yea those trucks are good. In west texas used them with the plain v6 and held pretty good. Tires were garbage but suspension was good they were not z71. But the g80 did perform pretty good. For the oil field they did really good.

Steven subscribed last night, didn’t realize you weren’t at TFL anymore. Hope to see more of your dad on the test, always like hearing another more mature man’s view( he says what he thinks, you get our age and you don’t care anymore), as well as yours and love when you head for the mud!!!👍👍👍 nice Chevy, the design has really grown on me and i’m a Ford guy, only reason I’d still not get the Chevy is rust issues, I’ll go aluminum, but I really don’t work a truck all that hard, my truck is basically a driving my wife grand children rig, weekly dump run and occasionally hauling stuff GM back home from Lowe’s:

Thanks for the shout out - don't worry I'll keep Steve on the straight and narrow. Dad.
You did a great review on this truck. The other guys were more concerned about the interior which I believe to be just fine. Though a little pricey.. it's a truck. And find it to be a very good one at that. It's a Chevy not a Cadillac or Lincoln so, to bash it's interior is crazy, everything is laid out nicely and it can be cleaned easily if you do go off roading. The 10spd transmission is the best part. Especially with the 5.3 compared to my 16 Silverado with the 6spd. I have the 20 with the midnight package and the wranglers, which took a minute to get use to lol. Have for a couple months now and don't even notice them anymore. But, like I said excellent job.
LT really is the sweet spot.
Goid video Stephen even though I will never own a GM product again.
I just subscribed to this channel, this man is honest, and does great reviews. I left the TFL guys because they are getting too big for their own good.
Congrats on the channel and am now subbed. Also awaiting ford to build my new 6.7 Tremor f350, the real off road monster😉 that's also costing me around 74k with employee pricing.
About Tonneau covers...my Tundra has the same as this Silverado...other than the name. My previous Tacoma had a BAK FLIP INDUSTRIES Tonneau which will go right up against the rear glass and has struts to keep it in place. Only cons is I could not use my cleats on my Tacoma because the Tonneau went in those tracks. The BAK FLIP is very heavy to flip at the end. The whole thing is made of aluminum. They are high quality Tonneau covers.
Thank you it is a pretty nice truck great looks, glad you showed the widow sticker. I was wondering if they were 20 inch wheels. I might get one, still thinking on it your video helped.

6.2 sounds great 👍🏼
I have the 2018 Chevy Silverado 1505.3 L midnight edition, LTZ, Z 71, I think mine is exactly the same as the trail boss without the 2 inch lift. They are bad ass trucks
Love all your input on all your vehicles 🚗 but one ☝🏼 thing all of us viewers would like to see or hear is what about the cooling system? Electric fans or viscous fan clutch? Thanks!!!!! Keep on trucking man!!!!
Hey you have your own channel. Subscribed.
Hey Stephen, we miss ur reviews at TFL Off Roaf
I was REALLY hoping that you were going to hook up to the holiday trailer instead of the small flat deck. Just picked up a 2022 trail boss and that thing is sweet!
A little nit pick on the payload squat test. By putting the barrels all the way to the front it will keep it from squaring as much. When a person puts 1000 lbs in the box it usually goes from the front all the way back which puts weight behind the axle.
I regularly hauled a 1600lb camper in the bed with my stock All Terrain with no issues. You "felt" it but really only when going up hill and on washerboard roads.
On point content, good stuff. good looking truck. Oh and get a better tape measure.
