TOURISTS TRY KELANTAN LOCAL DISHES - Kota Bharu Night Market

After spending a week working in Kota Bharu managed to find a night market - Pasar Malam Buluh Kubu.
Here we tried some of Kelanatan's favourite local dishes -
Ayam Percik
Nasi Kerabu
Murtabak Daging
Seri Muka Kuih
Akok
Kota Bharu has certainly wowed us in food choices. So much flavour and variety. This night market was an amazing experience and a great way to escape the daily grind.

I love you guys. Even though I lived in Malaysia for nearly four years & now I'm back in London, I have learnt more about the different names of food & how they are made. You have certainly educated me with regards to this. I love Malaysia & often go for holidays there 2-3 times a year. I also miss fasting in the month of Ramadan there as its completely different from the atmosphere here in London. Great video. Keep it up.

Ayam percik is pronounced ayam per-chick. And if you're still in kelantan you should definitely go try nasi ulam cikgu. Its a restaurant serving rice with various dishes and ulam. So ulam is raw medicinal herbs usually eaten with condiments such as sambal or budu. And dont be afraid of ulam. Its tasty and good for u. We malaysians say kelantanese people look younger than their age and one of the reasons for that is their diet. They consume a lot of ulam. Even in nasi kerabu there is one ulam in the ingredients.

The kuih serimuka pandan is 2 layers of glutinous rice and pandan custard. Malaysian all time favorite kuih. I think the kuihs nyonya that you have / you ate earlier at George town (Delish Asia) didn't have kuih serimuka I believe the white and green kuih was kuih talam pandan not kuih serimuka. Kuih Talam Pandan no glutinous rice, but both layers are made of flour. Kuih2 in Kelantan are Authentic Malays kuih. In my opinion, foods in Kelantan are the most delicious malay food in Malaysia. Enjoy the foods! Btw amazing vlog❤️👍🏻... .....kerabu actual meaning is salad not "to Wednesday" (direct lango translation) 😂
