Hello guys. Thanks for covering Kelantan vlog, which change my perception of Kelantanese. I will consider visiting Kota Bharu in future as it is close to beach. If you guys still there, take note tomorrow is starting of fasting month, so watch out for Ramadan Bazaar tomorrow which you may consider to visit.

Kelantan and Terengganu has its own accent like Beng is Ais Kecek is cakap I'm not born and raise in Kelantan but my grandparent and my mother are born and raise in Kelantan. Slowly I learn to speak in Kelantanese.

Ermm, those aren't accents, but rather dialects. Kelantanese dialect is one of the most distinct dialect in the Malay peninsular. Linguistically, it can be considered a separate language.

@VeggiesOnTour thanks for the offer. We are doing OK despite the cold and wet weather here. And celebrating Ramadhan here is so different from home.. no bazaar ramadhan. Huhu, however, fasting duration is about the same , about 14 hrs a day

kelantan is very underrated. it may not be a wealthy state or a well developed one, but it is historically significant. it has strong historical and cultural and biological ties with java and vietnam (specifically south vietnam's defunct islamic kingdom of champa). and kelantan's princes spread islam to java in indonesia. in fact royals of java and kelantan have intermarried a lot, and president jokowi has blood ties to kelantan's royals. it is also said that if malaysia were to have a nobel winner one fine day she would be a kelantan woman. long ago kelantan was under champa and java. then it became a vassal of the great johor empire till the thai empire extended its influence over kelantan in the 1700s. eventually johor (which established good diplomatic relations with thailand), UK (which established good diplomatic relations with thailand) and thailand had several talks and britain became kelantan's overlord, till malaysian independence.
