@@randomahhuser it's like a high end hotel with various amenities. The design choices depends on taste. Aside from high cost, the sheer size and location....I personally do not find the overall design to really stand out. If you look a many other home tours from Enes, you will find many lower cost homes with nicer designs that feels like home, more liveable. This one just feels like a place you go to work, or have fun, then you leave and go home.

It's like staying in a luxury hotel next to a group of guests and staff. It's two different things from home. And no matter how big the space is, you can only enjoy a small part of it personally. No matter how luxurious it is, it is just a hotel, not a private home even though you own the whole building!

I agree. It is way too big. It's basically a hotel that you own, with only your family as guests. A family that you mighy not see for days on end considering that this is as big as a mall. You will lose things, keys, your phones, uour clothes. You will find it difficult to clean the place. You will need 100 man power of employees to maintain the place. You will need bicycles strategically placed at some areas, or else you will be always late for appointments, unless you strategically sleep near the front door. Then security. You will need an army to secure the place. Cctv. Guards. Dogs. Alarms. This place will cost a human being on average with 100 employees about 5,000 dollars a day. That's 5,000 times 365 days adding up to 1,865,000 dollars a year just to maintain....and that's just because you wont clean everyday like a regular hotel.

I'd rather have a very nice cabin in Jackson Hole. If I had that kind of money. I would own 2 or three much smaller homes around the country in the mountains/wilderness and on the ocean. Maybe a boat for a lake house and a small yacht for the beach house. Basically vacation areas. Or I would buy all the homes on one very private dead end on the water some where and give all the houses except one (for myself) to my family and friends. Just enough to have privacy and space without needing a golf cart to go to the bathroom.

There was a documentary done in this mansion and how it has been added in and added on, but now it’s so damn expensive there’s a very small handful of people in the world that can afford to buy it AND maintain it. There are property taxes, which in Comifornia, with a little quick looking it means they’d be approx. 1.68 MILLION dollars/ year. Then all the codes that have to be met with special up keep. That would narrow it down to a young, mega rich, entertainer or business owner that entertains, A LOT, that would buy it. They may get a foreign investor, or royalty, but normal people with that kind of money would be a skinny list.

This space would be much better suited for commercial purposes considering how ridiculously enormous it is. Not to mention that the house’s monochromatic, minimalistic, function-centric design reduces it’s capacity to feel like an actual home, further making the case that this will likely fill a corporation’s needs and not a family’s.

I cannot imagine the logistics and cost of just running this home. The home MUST come with an array of different crews and contractors that clean, cook, and maintain this HUGE house. I also will never understand why someone would even need something this over the top. It might take them years to even enter every room in the house for an actual reason haha. It's truly overkill! It's still absolutely amazing of course.

It's also an investment, this will probably increase a lot in value in the future. It's probably gonna be rented out in periods as well. Edit: After seeing this house has been going down in value from the initial 500mill price tag years ago, I take back everything I said :p This is a complete fail investment wise. Too big and impratical, with an enormous cost in property tax alone.

Hell, just walking to the 5 pools at the MGM Grand is a hike, just like this place would be. There's certainly some very "sexy" stuff here, but this is really more like a conference center/resort/hotel campus vibe. It's easy to appreciate the creativity that goes in to these architectural extravaganzas, but I suspect that even the wealthiest owner would end up feeling pretty lonely and never even begin to utilize the space and amenities. It's a delightful visual flight-of -fancy, though, and I have always LOVED the idea of a "modern moat". Cool tour.
