My wife has an iBuyPower PC, during the great GPU shortage it was cheaper to buy the whole system from iBuyPower than it was to buy just the GPU from scalpers. Thank you iBuyPower for not doing stupid markups.

I used a competitor, but I did the same thing during the GPU shortage. I took the CPU, GPU, SSD, and cooler and upgraded my PC with them. Sold the rest of the parts locally. Really saved me some money AND it was well assembled!

Had a great experience over all with both of my Ibuypower PCs. One suggestion is making some of those Ibuypower parts available for out of warranty repairs later. My Ibuypower AIO cooler quit 4 years after I got my PC (not out of the norm for that to happen) and when I tried to order a new one with the Ibuypower branding I was told those were only available for the new systems being built or warranty repairs. I literally was saying "Ibuypower take my money!" and the answer was no. Ended up ordering a kraken AIO through someone else.

I applaud that you were willing to let cameras into your facility at all, it shows that you have at least some confidence in your processes. Though I do have a question regarding (I believe) an MR Slate 104 I've seen at a local store of mine. I noticed that the shelf model had only one stick of ram in it and to my knowledge you should never have less than 2 unless you want to bottleneck a system by limiting the bandwidth of the ram. Is that simply a leftover prebuilt that is no longer representative of current ones or is there something else going on that I missed? In my mind, if you're buying a system that north of 1000 dollars like that one is, dual kits of ram should be so standardized you don't even need to think about it especially given how cheap some dual kits of ram can get despite having solid specs and capacity.

Since IBP are going to be reading these comments, I just want to say good work and thank you guys. At the beginning of the pandemic, I specced a PC and had it shipped to my almost completely tech illiterate sister-in -law. It arrived in perfect condition, it was easy to set up and it enabled her to work from home and continue to make money for her family. It also introduced her to gaming, which she has continued to enjoy. I've always built my own machines but I bought a Y60 case to build my son's music production system in. I could have gone with a generic case since the machine is not used for gaming but he wanted a bit of flair. I was really impressed with both the cool design and the quality of the case and so then I built my wife's machine in the elegant Revolt 3 which she absolutely loves. Finally, I've just finished my new machine in the flaming red Y40 and it looks fantastic. Once again thank you IBP from our family for producing great products and thank you Jay, Phil and Nic for producing an informative video. BTW Phile, nice work on the in-video titles. Nicely done.

I'm not target demographic for an SI but appreciate this transparency. Will definitely recommend this video to friends/family looking at getting a pc. Top tier video, shout out to everyone involved in making this happen.
I used I Buy Power for my first PC back in 02 and loved them. I used them a second time about 10 years ago and another great experience. I put a PC together myself for the first time a couple years ago and probably will continue to do so going forward but if I ever do go with a pre-built again I highly recommend I Buy Power
I know this process is not appealing to us regular JTC subscribers, but I absolutely see the value for someone who wants a turn key experience. If i had 0 skills for PC building and wanted to play on pc, I wouldn't hesitate to go this route after watching this. Nice work Jay and team.

Ahh but maybe you haven't thought of the secondary benefits. If you build a machine for family then you are tech support forever. I got my sister-in-law to buy an IBP machine that I specified on their website I then sent IBP and her the spec. She ordered it and they delivered. Now if she has a problem then she 'must' call IBP because I can't 'touch' their machine.

It's not terribly difficult learning to build your own PC. Assembly isn't too hard, buying the tools isn't too expensive, and you're in charge of the quality control. Troubleshooting kinda' sucks sometimes if you're not a software engineer or don't understand how to partition drives without wiping your OS, hard to know if you broke something of if the part is defective...but yeah. I'd much rather build my own custom rig even with the tedious PITA parts of the process.
@megapet777
2 ай бұрын
@@PaulLemars01 and the third benefit, you get warranty for the entire system. If something breaks you dont have to troubleshoot it yourself. Most people dont even have extra parts laying around for troubleshooting.
Usually dont comment too much, but this type of content is fantastic & much appreciated. I´ve gotten my Own System from IBP in Europe 4 Years ago and once I had issues with the initial product after a couple months they sent out a company to pick it up without hassle, fixed everything and had it sent back to me with patient support.
I bought an iBuyPower pc around 2010 and was amazed at how well it was built and worked. When I started gaming on it I noticed artifacts on the screen and called them. They quickly RMA'd me a new video card and it worked fine after that. I've been building my own pc's since then but my experience with them was awesome!

I bought a Revolt 2 from ibuypower about 7 years ago and it was an incredible system especially for the price. Really like how they would update you in real time online as to what they were doing. They listed every test and process they used and whether it passed or failed and were pretty quick. The packaging was also excellent.

That sucks having your computer fried. :( I've always had my computers (server, PCs, printers, network hardware, etc.) on an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), such as one by APC or Tripplite. I'm currently running my laptop, printer, and powered USB hub on a surge protector that handles over 4K joules because we have frequent outages up here in Alaska during the long winters. You can get a small APC Office UPS that'll give you enough time (~5-10 minutes) to shut down during outages, or to handle a brief brownout that doesn't cost a whole lot. I've been working on computers and electronics long before Jay was born (was an Electronics Tech in the Navy back in the '70s & '80s, then earned my BSCE and BSEE degrees after that).
@KellicTiger

@@LifeInFrameUPS dude. Search suppressors only support surges, a brownout is basically going to be power lag and that's not going to help that at all. A UPS also does power conditioning.

Probably said below, but: Thank you to you, Jay, for showing us what takes place behind the scenes, and big thank you shout out to iBUYPOWER for letting Jay show us what goes on behind the scenes. Not many a company would let the public do that. Note: I have been to one other mass market computer builder's warehouse many years ago. They were accommodating, of course, but also cautious on answering questions, such as burn-in time for their systems. Appreciate the access iBUYPOWER. I should say, I have built the last two computers in my home myself. I am still learning. The pre-builts do have their place, though.
Recently began working at a place that builds systems. Usually just the classic all in one office tiny cube you all know. Othertimes a prebuilt PC i get to assemble n all. Fun stuff if you enjoy building stuff. Not some big brand either tho but eh, it's a cozy job so long as all the paperwork and serial numbers are correct ..Though I'd say my workplace is more uhhh. Just casually building order after order and sometimes buffers n such. It's fun

I have had some really dumb and sketchy jobs, but i can proudly say I've never been confined to a cubicle before.
i bought an IBP system a few years ago, it is a great computer my wife uses it now since i have since built two computers of my own. all i did to the IBP one was put another set of ram sticks in it for a total of four sticks. yes i bought the same sticks that came in it.
I spec'd out an IBP PC in 2017 that was a bit overkill at the time. But I still use it today with ZERO problems. Until I recently treated it to a case upgrade, the only add on I've done is extra storage to keep up with the size of todays games. Well done to whoever put it together for me...
thanks for doing this, i love "how its made" what an incredible insight to a company i didnt know anything about
My first gaming PC was and still is an iBuyPower rig. Got it in 2021 and still going strong to this day with ZERO issues and the couple times i needed to call customer support they were very helpful. I would highly recommend this to someone even if they are not a first time PC builder.
"Here's a bell, i don't know what it's here for" 😂 Good to see you having fun Jay. Like a kid in a candy store. This was a good video, very interesting. Look forward to the unboxing.
I bought my Ibuypower’s i9 10900k RTX 2070 super 4 years ago. I never had any issues. That computer is a beast and it’s still running strong. Only thing I replace was the cooler and I upgraded to a 3070. Only regret I had is I wish I bought a bigger case. I recently bought another computer from another manufacturer (only because it was a great deal) but when I had the blue screen to death and call the manufacturer of a possible defective part they told me that the part was bought on Amazon I wasn’t to happy nevertheless. Needless to say my next purchase will be with Ibuypower. Thank you to all the technicians for their fantastic work.
Glad you got to tour their facility! I did the same back in '22 and it's a majorly impressive place. Thanks for covering how important SIs are in the industry.
Thanks Jay. Just bought my first new system since 2009 because of this video. I did tell them your name on checkout, so hope that helps you a bit. I've been building and researching for the last year. Exactly what I was building in all the sites/forums/my head for a bit cheaper.
Another great video Jay! Thank you for taking us through that process. Very informative.
Thank you for this!! I've only ever ordered from Origin PC and their shipment/unboxing experience is AMAZING!! Love the wooden crates!
I got my 1st pc from Ibuypower during quarantine. It was a standard prebuilt, kinda low end for the small bit of money I had at the time, but the computer got me through it and helped in getting me accustomed to modern pc parts, new lay outs, and upgrade paths I could take. Sadly my AIO died after maybe 2years but luckily by then I had looked in to upgrades and planned for a new self made custom build which is crushing it now. For a basic pre built it was a good pc and got handed down to family for their basic needs and I do not regret that purchase a bit.
Great video. Loved that you showed the whole process. Really interesting. Thank you for sharing!
I bought an IBP in 2020. Not as high end as I would have like but within my budget and knowledge at the time. I have found the system to be very stable over the years and still is today. I use it exclusively for just internet these days. 2 months ago, I bought an Asus with quite a bit more bells and whistles and have had nothing but one issue after another with that system.
I currently use an iBuyPower system i bought pre pandemic and still use. My old system (an Asus branded prebuilt) had inexplicably died and this was a ready made that was extremely competitively priced and i don't regret getting it. After many years of usage, she still runs well and problem free. I'm thinking of upgrading this summer and honestly, I might get another iBuyPower system if the prices are still really competitive because the experience has been very good. I think the most impressive thing is how dust free my case is because the system came with magnetic dust shields. The old Asus system was embarrassingly choking on it's own dust by the time it gave up. As long as the quality stays good and the prices remain competitive, I'll probably step into another iBuyPower system.
Great video Jay! Always wondered how the process worked.Thanks...
I have some rose colored memories of my old old old IBP laptop with a desktop CPU. It ran so hot it melted the bottom(my fault). So ahead of their time. I'm glad they're still around.
Jay, I just want to say that this was one of your best videos. You did a great job walking us through the process. Keep up the great work!
I got my current PC through a custom build program, was super easy and not very pricey. If there was any issues they covered it and handled warranty, recommended for those who just need a PC without the hassle
This was fascinating, i really enjoyed seeing the process. Thanks Jay!
Thanks J. I have a friend who is looking to upgrade his old machine. He wants to just go buy something off the shelf which is why he ended up getting an HP a couple years ago. After seeing the this video I am more likely to recommend selecting parts and having ibuypower put the machine together. Assuming the price difference isn't too crazy.
Serious and good company. Great to see the way do things. Perfect.
I have a grand total of 3 RDY systems for my family over the years. All three have been great. I’m ready to upgrade to a 40 series and you can bet I’m going with another iBuyPower RDY. Very happy with these systems.
I got a system from IBP 6 years ago. I never had any issues with it at all. It was a good system. I would but another system from them again in the future.
I have an iBuyPower system currently, the only problem I had over the years was having the SSD die, about a month after the warranty was over. Other than that I have been very satisfied with the system.
nice to see it from beginning to end thanks for this video
Great video! Thanks to both the JTC team and iBuypower for making this little inside tour possible. ❤
Got an ibuypower laptop back in 2013. No issues, loved that thing. Still runs today as my nephews use it.

Bought an ibuypower back im 2020 worked great out of the box, ordered 3600 but they ended up giving me an upgrade to 3700x and no extra cost, all the components still work fine in friends pcs as i upgrade bits and pieces
As a person that likes to buy iBuypower and CyberpowerPC products over the year, this was really fascinating to see how typical high-end system integrators manage their builds, including assembly, testing, etc. Very awesome video!
Pretty awesome! Was just talking about ibuypower to a friend interested in a pre-built. This confirms the quality in process they have. Plus I love their no frill facility...lots of stuff everywhere, not this weird steril fancy environment...Our service center at work looks the same! It's where work gets done! You can tell they have a dedicated team that loves their product and loves their customers more. Well done IBP! I will be recommending you more in the future!
I have an iBuyPower PC that I bought from Walmart. I still have it and it's still working fine even with the improvements I've made to it by putting in an EVGA 3070 and a 750W EVGA power supply. I also put in a 1TB NVMe and upgraded the RAM from 8g to 16g sticks, it still working like a champ.
Great company! I have purchased two IBP in the past because it was actually cheaper for me to spec. out what I wanted from them than to build my own. Their customer support is also on point. The second system I bought for my son, and the GPU went out about a month after he got it. I called up tech support spoke to an American that actually worked in the same building the system was built in. He took me though couple trouble shooting step confirmed it was GPU. IBP overnighted a new GPU and I sent the defective one back didn't have to pay for shipping or anything. This past year I built a new high end system after owning the IBP for 13 years (Yes I had upgraded everything but the case and PSU a couple time) but the first thing I did was go to IBP and spec out a new system to compare cost versus self building. This time it was cheaper to build my own and there was a specific GPU and case I wanted that IBP didn't carry. However, I will definitely consider buying from them again.
I got an ibuypower during the shortage. THE best way for someone like me to get into PC gaming. I’ve changed out the case and the cooler, but to see it all put together then rebuild was a heck a lot easier than starting from a bunch of boxes.
As someone who has been build a system for more than 10 years, I tell you most prebuild is still better than DIY by someone with no clue on how to build a system. If you're new just start with a prebuild then learn from that, you can start by doing some diagnostic whenever your system gone wrong and stuff. The amount of people come to the shop to fix what they build is staggering.

They have great youtube videos for maintenance on your prebuild as well, which helped out a lot since I was a console gamer and this was my first gaming PC experience.
Awesome video, loved the tour and the walkthrough from start to finish. I have an IBP still going strong running a gtx 1080 from 2016.
I would expect you would take both of these systems apart and check TIM and how sound they are built like Steve does. I think this was a cool view into the process, thank you guys for shooting and and IBP for allowing it..
I actually support system integrators because for a lot of people, that's their starting point. And then they become more interested about PCs and they start learning more about them, then they start experimenting on their own computer with upgrades, and eventually they find it a fun hobby. My PC now is just consistently upgraded from an old compaq presario that I had back in 2006. Sure there's nothing left of the old computer, but everything was an upgrade from something.
My first pre-built was IBuyPower, and it was great. I then bought a CyberPower pre-built for my son, and it was nothing but headaches. I have learned my lesson, and if I have to buy another pre-built it will be IBP.
I really enjoyed this video . Great idea showing the complete process from start to the final product being packaged . I would feel comfortable making an order from them after seeing how thorough they are .Especially when you consider the failure rate of today's components, you really are taking a huge risk when building your own PC and having a bad part. We all know the hustle that goes with that .
I got my first IBP PC back in February 2021. I got a custom build with an i7 10700k, 3070, 32 gigs ram, 1tb ssd, 2tb hdd, 850watt ps, and 120 aio. Everything has been great except the aio went bad a few months ago but I called and they sent me a new one. The Pc and the customer service has been great, I would definitely buy from IBP again. Thanks for the tour!!
I've bought two from them over the years, the last one was back in 2015, which I'm still using today. I am planning on getting a new one this summer, for my 55th birthday and as a retirement gift (from teaching) to myself, and will be ordering from them. Then have good deals from time to time, so hopefully I can get a system that will last as long as this one has. This one has gone through a lot of use, including a teaching from home for almost 2 years. (But it is starting to have small issues, like locking up etc, so it's time :) Thanks Jay for giving us this insight into Ibuypower.
After playing on the website this is a huge game changer. They’ve been around but I didn’t know they’ve stepped their game up like this since the last time I looked at their website a few years back. I don’t think I will go back from building my own but this is awesome! Good for first timers. I went with NZXT first go around and they screwed me.
Loved seeing how it all goes from start to finish. And how they let you just walk around and do your thing. Nice work sir😃😃

All my prebuikts have came from ibuypower. I have purchased 4 systems. Aside from some weird issues like dead usb ports, misaligned motherboard damage from shipping, and dead aios after about a year. I like the customer service.
SI's are such an important part in the pc industry. I'm really happy you were able to visit and check out their location, both Braethorn and I were able to do a tour a bit ago and loved it! Keep up the amazing videos :)

Cool to see this video pop up when I'm thinking about getting a new system. More of an I saved the money to get a gaming rig that is more than I need type of build but with health issues can't really build it myself. Seeing this is making me lean more towards IBP to be honest. But now I've seen how IBP does things by a content creator I trust. And who years ago built me a PC that turned out amazing.
Enjoyed the video jay, would like to see more. Keep up the great work
Bought a y60 build from them back in June through Amazon. It failed in 3 days, so I returned it, built it myself, works great. Now I love building pcs, thanks IBP
For my son's 13th birthday I was looking to buy a gaming pc. I chose IBuyPower and used the website to configure a computer that would be as future-proof as I coud afford, Five years later there is no game it could not handle at high settings. The only part that is not original is the CPU cooler. The AIO that came with it died after 3 years. I replaced it with a Cooler Master tower unit. And it has worked flawlessly ever since.
When a company can say "hey, come on in and check out our process!" it speaks volumes about them. So many companies in general always want to steer people away from how they do things, this was actually refreshing to see.
thanks for the video ! i do like their website and operations
thank you for the factory tour video, it was very educative & that editing is pretty hecking clean also thanks Phill for that B-Roll of the Caliope Mori Y40 case ... ooh, they only have it as a Prebuilt in Intel CPU, that's a bit disappointing
Cool video Jay thanks
$1200 for a build with a 3050 or 6500xt is kinda wild

IBuyPower, Alienware and Dell computers are the most common computers I see arrive back at my work. I see all the comments showing love for IBP, just wondering why I see them being sent in for troubleshooting so much recently.
Oooh looking forward to secret shopper! I'm pretty much committed to just building my own PCs going forward but it's always informative to see how the SIs are doing things. Nice vid!
That was dope, more of this
Man this video is awesome! My coworker just bought an Ibuypower system and I was curious if they were good. Glad to see they look good.
My first true gaming computer that I could upgrade in future was from IBUYPower and it was great. it was very good mid-range computer at the time (Ryzen 7 3700x & 5700xt with 16GB Ram) now thanks to you JayzTwoCents (keep up the good work) and other you tube techs I learn how to build my own computers. Currently I have two computers one Intel (CPU) and the other AMD (CPU) and its hard for me to keep just one.
