Just want to clarify that I had a friend help translate the Khmer in this video. It’s not a perfect translation (since languages can’t translate perfectly) but as close as possible!

One of the best videos I have seen about Cambodia 🇰🇭 I have lived in Phnom Penh for 5 years, I love Cambodia, the Cambodian people are the friendliest people one could wish to meet.
The biggest things in Cambodia 🇰🇭 I’m really love to recommend you guy’s are the temple of Khmer Artchitecture and the sculptures . On the walls are showing the reality of Cambodia during in the past Khmer dancing, culture and beautiful history ✨When you guys are walking into the temple I meant you guys feel refreshed and quiet 🙏🏻
I really like the fact that there are now informative interviews now. Ethan is in a way helping teach about the world outside of what people know. Loving it.
I was in Cambodia month ago and god… this country is insane! I love all about this place, the people, the culture and the food is great. One thing that I do not like there is wildlife😂 If you are afraid of insects, lizards, snakes, bugs and etc, you will be terrified😂🙏🏻

Was in Siem Reap and the Ankor What about 3 years ago. Had a guide and spent 4 days going through the temple and surrounding area, staying at a hotel in Siem Reap. Wonderful time. Love Cambodia; warm welcoming people, in my experience. Food wonderful; prices more than reasonable---at least 3 yrs ago! Did you know that the temple was build many hundreds of years ago and was the center of a civilization of over one million! ! ITs a fascinating area. Thoroughly enjoyed your vid.
Wow! Another exciting adventure! Thanks for sharing this fun and beautiful culture with the world, Ethan. Safe travels! - Chris in NJ
Ethan, you’re a good kid. You make your mom proud. Your vlog is full of humanity and your voice adds a certain something to the narration. FCC is beautiful. They’ve got a great designer and builder. The place is absolutely stunning.

Your videography and editing has become so professional. It was interesting to me to note how similar the Cambodia history show is to the Thai history shows. The best one is in Phuket. It's jaw-dropping.

Indeed, there are thousands of temples in Cambodia alone. Siem Reip is not the only place that has temples, in fact there are thousands of them in nearly all provinces of Cambodia excluding its former empire Thailand, Loa and South Viet Nam. Most big temples are located in Siem Reip, Banteay Meanchey, Odor Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces. Most visitors only visit the temples in Siem Reip because they are well known and easy to excess. Cheers!

I'm in the beginning stages of planning a trip to SE Asia - my first time on the continent - in the early part of next year. I was thinking originally to visit Viet Nam, Thailand, possibly Myanmar, and India, and then thought I could perhaps spend a couple of days in Cambodia as well - but I wasn't too sure about it. I've seen travel videos up the wazoo, but you did such a great job on this one, Ethan, that you've pretty much convinced me to include Cambodia in my travels next year. Cambodia looks like a wonderful place. Politics and history are one thing, but it's the people that truly make up a country. Thanks so much for making and sharing this and your other videos; in educating yourself about the world around you, you are also helping to educate the rest of us, and I - for one - am very grateful for that

That's WAY too many designations for your first trip, imo, unless you're visiting for a year or two. I'd do them over time in this order: 1) Thailand 2) Vietnam 3) Cambodia 4) Myanmar 5) Lao. Then the rest (China, India, etc). If you are in fact taking a year or more to do this (that's what I did), then enjoy..it will change your life.

Oh yes, the landscape looks like Bali. The way how the people dress up traditionally reminds me of Bali, Indonesia. There was an ancient kingdom there called Champa, which was still related to ancient kingdoms in Indonesia.
@aldrive622
Жыл бұрын
Yes, a Champa kingdom but unfortunately it was taken over and absorbed into current Vietnam. It is in the central part of Vietnam that you can still see architectural structures, temples and such while driving a long HWY 1 around Phan Thiet, Phan Rang areas. It was believed that Champa started out by people who migrated from Indonesia.

Wow that hotel and room look so cool. My favorite part of the video is when you went to the Circus. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
hello, i am cambodian and i really love when people visit cambodia and thanks for visiting cambodia!
I have been to Cambodia three times (retired in Thailand btw) People always go to Siem Reap but think there is nothing in the capital city of Phnom Penh. I found the old historical city along the river easy to get around by foot and plenty of locally owned restaurants to rry out. The easy going nature and gentle mannerisms of the Cambodian people remind me of the Thais before mass tourism made many Thais lose their "Thainess" .
Beware those monkeys at Angkor Wat! Best not to bring food with you, to visit the temples. I brought a bag of bananas and this monkey attacked me, bearing its teeth and clawing at me. I dropped my bag immediately and said, "All you buddy!" 🤣 Our tour group all had a laugh, but I'd hate to imagine what it would have done to me if I had resisted and tried to keep my bananas. It was still coming after me, snarling even after I dropped the bag, then it turned around, snatched it's loot and took off. Be ye warned! 🤣

Thanks!! Maybe I'll take a holiday there in a few years.
I hope I don’t creep you out or anything but I love your shirtless scenes whether swimming or walking about or whatever. You are a cute guy and so I like those scenes. Of course, I find your travel journals and commentaries fascinating. I can’t stop watch when you come on. Your self-deprecating humor is funny and your ordinary humor is so delightful. I have become a fan!!!
The Phare Circus provides what is for me one of the best nights of live entertainment you can get in Southeast Asia. I attended shows under the big tops in both Siem Reap and Battambang and they were both excellent. The main difference was that in Battambang some trainees participated in the show, not that I would've noticed if they hadn't announced it. Highly recommended in either location!
Nicely done again, nobody provides a better visit to a new country then you do. Thank you.
I am so happy that you are having fun in Cambodia. ❤
