Had it for a couple weeks now. Can't say enough about it. Just a true pleasure on the wrist. Everything I look for in a non diver. This thing has brought me full circle and back to a quartz as my daily wear. Absolutely love the plain look.

Better than a Rolex Explorer by far. More accurate and a date window. And one small thing...about $4700 cheaper!

This watch will still look good 30 years from now it won’t age at all

The red second hand on this one looks corny and cheap though. The plain second hand on the black and green models is better.

The Glock of watches! I ordered the green one. I was looking for a new EDC watch. It was between this, a Hamilton Khaki and a Tudor Black Bay. I have other autos. I wanted an inoffensive watch I could wear on the job site or at a wedding. It’s simple and can take whatever you throw at it.

I don’t know why this watch would be described as a dive watch with a non rotating bezel and clear field watch markings. This watch almost ruined other watches for me. Outside of the monocoque construction the second hand hits every mark, it’s simple to read, the capacitor has an 80% power retention expectancy after 20 years and the case and bracelet have almost no marks after a few months of hard labour with my hands. The legibility, lume and durability of this watch lend it to field standards far more than dive activities. I think that to describe this as a diver is certainly a mistake. It is without a doubt one of the best field watches I’ve ever had and buries my Hamilton’s and the like, I see more Hamilton’s at business meetings than in a camp…

Think of it as a really tough dress watch and its plain jane looks become a feature.

Normally this type of watch wouldn't appeal to me, but it's the watch on the giant poster at my local jewelry store where I bought my first real watch. Because of that, this watch has been something of a mini Grail for me since the beginning of my collecting journey. I just ordered one last night, and can't wait to get it in. Next mini Grail: the Casio Oceanus S100.

Saw this piece on a red nato strap and it looked just fantastic.

I have both the titanium and the black cordura strap promaster tough..i bought them both from JC penny. I over paid slightly which both watches were just north of 400 dollars at the time. No regrets tho. Both function as advertised and the name is fitting..very accurate as well

If Citizen goes out a filed watch I hope it can mark numbers on bezel to make it easy to peek time.

I'm over "stylish" watches. This design is understated and elegant, and doesn't look like it's trying to be "bad ass."

I am currently wearing one sometime you just want to know the time and date with our all the fancy features I see some people wear two watches one a smart watch to give notifications and steps and a regular watch on other wrist

That watch screams tough tool, I like it!.

Great review. I'm one that really likes it because I like tough field watches that are easy to read and take a beating. Its just a bit outside my justifiable price range. But I see where some wouldnt care for it.

Check eBay. I bought a store display model for ~$225. Yeah, it's the price of four TImex watches but also far below the MSRP.

It really does look like a Swiss Army INOX. Even the hands and the bracelet. The INOX is nicer looking in my opinion, but that one requires battery changes. Good review as usual

surfitli i have the INOX Pro diver. It is nicer but its on the top heavy side and thick. I’m looking at picking up this one ☝🏼

On the lume topic, citizen website says this is using superluminova.

I think Seiko is charging for extra links now. I'd like to see a closer look at the promaster land, for some reason I'm fascinated by that watch but $500+ is pricey for me considering its quartz.

Why do Citizen do such deep dates? I've bought other makes of watches due to the date window. It's a real shame as the Citizen watches look great apart from that damn window.

I love Citizen watches, especially the JDM GMT's.The capacitor will last for life BTW

Citizen missed it this time :( no bezel, don't know what a titanium coating will do and looks like the second hand is a bit off which I have started to notice on a lot more on citizen watches. Good review though.

4:43 I've got the "Elton John" on the left there. My only complaint is that the indices are so flat and boring. Maybe it is a «solar thing». I'm guessing it is probably a cost saving thing instead, but I'm not sure. (Coming from an Orient Mako it makes you wonder what the extra money is getting you. It's the titanium I guess.) Other than that I like that it is somewhat plain.

By comparison, the Victorinox Inox, which has a similar look, is just as pricey and ugly. However, citizen offers solar and altitanium that isn't a flat gray. Yes please

This watch has a band made in China, is the case also made in China??? That is OK if they are well made. The date window is always an issue with Citizen How hard is it to make the window bigger and print the text larger.

Accumulators that also look like button cells, have a life of 10 to 20 years maximum, the day, when it will be necessary to change it, it will pose the problem of disassembly of the watch, which does not have a working background . In addition, seeing the mention on the bottom of the case "Base st; steel", I understand that it is an ionic veneer of a metal harder than steel, to see in time how this veneer is to shocks and violent impacts. Seiko is the best watchmaker in Japan, it is not for nothing that the brand was supported many times by the Emperor of the Empire of the Rising Sun.

So Citizen basically threw out their long history of super tough watch designs with their Arabic dials and arrow hands and just copied victorinox. Such a shame. All they should have done is a Royal Marines watch without the Royal Marines logo and BOOM you have a winner

They used to use capacitors in thier eco drives... So maybe 5 or 10 years ago, correct! But now they use rechargeable batteries.

Uninspiring for sure....wouldn't buy...have many Citizens and generally like them, but this is blaw

The specs of this watch are so good but that dial is so bland and lifeless.
