Absolutely. He's the closest one to Porcaro's style in this Rosanna's version. The groove is there and with soul that you can feel it.
Toto's best song by far. Just a feel good song. Look at that crowd. No aggression, no anger, no fighting. Just pure enjoyment listening to one of the greatest songs.

This is a fantastic recording and performance. Everybody is on top of their game in this one and it sounds great for a live recording. You can almost feel electricity and the vibe of that live experience from the audience. They are all so digging it. I'd love to see these guys sometime. But I miss Jeff Porcaro one of my favorite drummers. Being a drummer myself I noticed things and Shannon seems to be using a different arm motion on the high hat compared to what Jeff used to do. He used a more up and down motion. Which is how I learned it in school. But one of the sweetest grooves ever put out. Nobody could do the halftime like Jeff. RIP

That comes off as sexist. Why care who does the backing vocals? In their prime, Toto's members hit really high notes and if they find women who have a fitting vocal style and range then why not? Preferring only men is just straight up halving your choices of vocalists.
@MichaelHolmgaard

@@RoshinrajRavi It's not sexist, it's a matter of taste. Men and women have very different voices. Men have more volume, while women have a higher register over their chest voice. Steve Porcaro actually said the same in an interview not too long ago....
