The Alan Parsons Symphonic Project "Sirius" - "Eye In The Sky" (Live in Colombia)
Музыка
THE ALAN PARSONS SYMPHONIC PROJECT “LIVE IN COLOMBIA” - AVAILABLE AS DVD, BLU-RAY, 2-CD DIGIPAK, 3 VINYL GATEFOLD AND DIGITAL
On the evening of August 31st, 2013, a large crowd gathered at Parque Pies Descalzos in Medellín, Colombia. When Alan Parsons appeared on stage, along with the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra and his band the audience went wild. This is an audio visual document of that incredible evening.
THE ALAN PARSONS SYMPHONIC PROJECT “Live in Colombia” is available now on earMUSIC as DVD, Blu-ray, 2-CD digipak, 3 x Vinyl, and download.
Alan Parsons was 19 years old when he landed a job at the world famous Abbey Road Studios, an important first step on his journey to becoming a world class engineer, producer and artist. Following his beginnings with George Martin and The Beatles, his contribution to Pink Floyd’s classic ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ earned him worldwide attention. As a producer he had many hits with Pilot, John Miles, Ambrosia and Al Stewart. Together with his manager and creative partner at the time, Eric Woolfson, he developed the Alan Parsons Project.
Following their debut album “Tales Of Mystery And Imagination“ (1976), they released a series of hit albums; namely “I Robot” (1977), “Pyramid” (1978), “The Turn of a Friendly Card” (1980), “Eye in the Sky” (1982), “Ammonia Avenue” (1984), “Vulture Culture” (1985), “Stereotomy” (1986) and “Gaudi” (1987).
Then Parsons and Woolfson called it a day, but Parsons had ambitions to perform the amazing music live. Now to the great delight of his fans, for the first time on a live video and audio recording, THE ALAN PARSONS SYMPHONIC PROJECT combines the talents of his amazing band with the lush sound of a 70-piece symphony orchestra, creating a very special show with unmatched quality. Together, they revitalize hits such as “Eye In The Sky“, “Don’t Answer Me“ and “Sirius“.
The lineup consists of Alan Parsons on acoustic guitar, keys, and vocals, P.J. Olsson (lead vocals), Alastair Greene (guitar, vocals), Guy Erez (bass, vocals), Danny Thompson (drums, vocals), Tom Brooks (keyboards, vocals) und Todd Cooper (saxophone, guitar, percussion, vocals). Alejandro Posada conducts the Medellin Philharmonic Orchestra

DEFINITELY LISTENING IN 2023. A TIMELESS SONG.
My family went to see Alan Parsons Project in concert last night in Denver, Colorado. It was a fantastic show with great energy from the singer’s. We were told Alan had back surgery in July and he was moving a little gingerly. His band members helped him when he transitioned from keyboards to guitar which was nice to see. We had front row seats which was amazing! We purchased their new album box set with LP, CD, & DVD signed by Alan. Thank you so much Alan Parsons Project for a very enjoyable evening.
I was in high school listening to APP with my whole life in front of me, bullet proof and eager to take on the world.. now much older, feeling frail and near the end.. enjoy life people, it's gone in the blink of an eye.

Friend, life here is only the beginning of the journey.Yes, it passes by quickly and sadly we are all guilty of not "stopping to smell the roses"....so take that vacation you dreamed of, take that parachute jump you thought of doing, mend that friendship you abandoned years ago, and find that love that you only see in the movies!! If you don't take hold of your dreams while you still can, they will simply stay a dream. Cemeteries are full of dreams and inventions that never came to fruition. Our time here may be going by and we can't change that....we can however change what we accomplish in that time. 🚊🪂⏰

It's an early morning in November and I am searching and found this song. There is something about a foggy morning as s gentle breeze lifts a blanket of fog into a slow motion cloud. The moon has crept through a bank of trees and cast its silent glow on the new fallen leaves. The sound of a voice of a softly spoken chorus can be heard as it magically floats through the early morning dew. ❤

Really...what do they have in their lives? Rap and shit reality TV...it is a desperate state of affairs. They sit inside playing computer games and having nothing to say to one another...apart from posting pictures of themselves on Insta...pretending to have some sort of meaningful existence...it is massively depressing to witness. And hearing this man sing even in 2013 (when he did this live show) his vocals are as perfect as they were on the album. Sirius/ Eye in the Sky is a true masterpiece of music!! Thank you Alan.

I think it goes without saying that after nearly 50 years since DSOTM, almost everybody who knows music knows the Alan Parsons/Pink Floyd connection
His music was so unique just as he was. That’s what separated him from everyone else. An artist in the true sense of the word!
Awestruck at this song, these guys! SO happy I got to see this. Listened to this song on my way home from work when it first came out. Rushed out to buy it, and listening and watching now is such a treat!💕
Bravissimo!!! I'm 54 years. Listening to recordings on CD - there is no feeling of such an atmosphere as at a concert. Thank you for your artwork
I love when it’s live and sounds just as good as it does on the radio. Well done, thank you
im 65 now but i really love this since '80
This is an iconic song... nowhere near the credit it deserves. This is awesome.
How beautiful the lyrics are! "I am the maker of rules... I am the Eye in the Sky looking at you" .. quality, quality, quality...
This is so beautiful. It's march 2022 and it's still a classic and almost bring tears to my eye's.

The begining is awesome and full of mystery like the twilight zone. Then it moves out into the open like a tidal wave and turns groovey.Over all, a masterful piece of music.
One of my all time favorite groups. They are timeless, and the music will be recognized as such forever.
At 60 years of age hearing this song makes me pine to be 20 again. 200 years from now this man and his group will be revered as classic in the same manner as Bach,Beethoven, and Mozart are revered today. Sheer genius.

Sensacional!!!!!!!!

Classic, timeless song. I saw AP in the round in Phoenix two years ago. I found out after the show he would be coming out to talk to fans, sign t-shirts, etc. There were only about 75 of us lined up. Understand that this man's career has been a primary soundtrack to my life going back to before high school. As I shook his hand, I felt this overwhelming emotion sweep over me. I was just so grateful. Through my faltering voice, I managed to just get out "Thank you...for everything." He was so gracious and cordial. Really good guy. He signed a shirt for me. And btw- it was probably the greatest concert I've ever seen. A truly magical night.

How wonderful to hear it again and again…thank you …🥰
As a 71-year-old boomer, I was 30 when this was released in May 1982. I also remember discussions with a few of my HS buddies if it was worth the hour's drive south. But a summer store clerk job and being 17 when the drinking age in NY was 18 at the time got in the way of Woodstock on Aug 15-18, 1969. Remember, all we had was AM/FM radio, printed newspapers, TV, and word of mouth said it wasn't going to be that big a deal. Oops!
The Alan Parsons Project was definitely a project. He is so talented and has shared his talents with the world.
Every generation has (or had) its own thing. At 64 I'm happy to have had the music from the 70's. That is why I am a musician and still rockin'.
A Master of his Craft.. His music and contribution to others will be boted and remembered.... in future history, his music will be listened too..
Two of the BEST songs of Alan Parsons. Good symphonic and progressive rock!
I listened to it for the first time almost 30 years ago and nothing changes of that amazing song, Symphonic orchestra version also great .
