Toto is the best band on earth ! These guys inspired millions of musicians worldwide and still do. This version is very musical. The original drum loop played by Jeff Porcaro is here, Steve Porcaro adds his magic thing, David Paich is brilliant, Steve Lukather amazing. Nathan East adds his own personality, playing bass variations in a very musical and modern way. Simon Phillips is very precise and adds his own fusion thing too. All singers amazing , very accurate, Joseph Williams adds his special vibe.... What a music lesson ! Best song ever.

This is what real musicianship looks like! Wow! Great songwriting, great interaction and counterpoints between musicians on stage, and real craft and ability in mastery of their instruments and interplay with each other. Just amazing! It is also extraordinary to remember that this level of musical excellence was what was broadly popular with the youth of the day, back in the 80s. Clearly this band and it's musical catalog has stood the test of time - and then some! There is nothing remotely as good as this, that is broadly popular with the youth of 2019. Also the music business is just a different animal today - and not for the better, I might add. I am 53, so I lived it, back in the 80s. I was there! For anyone who was between ages 15 and 30 during the 60s/70s/80s or 90s, never forget that you came of age during the GOLDEN ERA of the music business, when the craft of music mattered. You were there! No one, can take that away from you. Period! In closing, former drummer/songwriter Jeff Pocaro (RIP) would be very proud of his band mates, regarding how they have kept the musical flame alive after all these years. Just extraordinary! Enjoy! Cheers, Sam.

He really has proven himself to be spectacular over the long run. Unfortunately, Jeff, like Hendrix, made the mistake of early self destruction. In comparison to those two, look at the continuous evolution of what Luke has accomplished since the young age of just 19!
Absolutely one of the best, most sophisticated, insanely talented bands ever! This is easily one of the best songs ever written. The chorus and harmonies are unbelievable

I have a DVD of Toto Live in Amsterdam which my greatniece (5) and her brother (6) like to listen to. So Toto has some new young fans still.
That song and the song Rosanna always my favorites
Toto is the best band on earth ! These guys inspired millions of musicians worldwide and still do. This version is very musical. The original drum loop played by Jeff Porcaro is here, Steve Porcaro adds his magic thing, David Paich is brilliant, Steve Lukather amazing. Nathan East adds his own personality, playing bass variations in a very musical and modern way. Simon Phillips is very precise and adds his own fusion thing too. All singers amazing , very accurate, Joseph Williams adds his special vibe.... What a music lesson ! Best song ever.

I was listening, not paying attention to the video so much; but as soon as I noticed the bass guitar taking off at the normal end, I simultaneously looked at the screen and said Nathan East! What an amazing player.
I have lost count of how many times I’ve watched this, as others have commented, ‘tight’ performance. No distracting props floating or flashing about just pure phenomenal human art.

Oh, what a wonderful band
Listening today at the age of 46.. loved these guys from the start.. mother use to play me these when young

I'm 77 and didn't know Toto from Chicago. But, as soon as I heard this, and Rosanna, I flipped (meaning I liked them). So, those two, plus Hotel California, and Good Vibrations, and, well, Chicago Transit Authority, Chicago II, Chicago VI, and Joe Zawinul+Wayne Shorter - now THOSE ARE REAL CLASSICS!

I was never into music much as a kid. It just didn't interest me back then other then to have something playing in the background. Now that I'm in my mid 50s I'm drawn back to this and other bands/singers of that time. Great music, great musicians. I'm sure kids of today won't be coming back to the crap music of today when they reach 55. Music today can't hold a candle to this.

By watching this particular video, we happen to have the best seat in the house. It is so close to the performers that our set of eyes are focus on how each instrument are being played to be parallel with the rhythm of the song.
