    I love two things about this series: 1. I learn about new food to crave 2. I get to see Mexico in all its colors, rather than Hollywood brown. It's so beautiful. It's so bright. I love it.

    @@kikilo9647 Lost 70+ with it. What I recommend is finding snacks that you enjoy but fit into the diet. I've found that flavored almonds work great. Amazon sells variety single serve packs, so if you get a hankering just pull one of those out.

    Please keep this series. It has a beautiful charm that promotes gastronomy and history. This show has a simplistic design with modernistic tones, yet it still makes me feel like I'm home watching cooking shows with my mother. Thank you.

    The Pruébalo videos with Rick are a real feast for the eyes, mind & stomach.. The light in the filmography, the colours everything is just stunning. And the food! It really makes Mexican food accessible for someone like me who likes in rainy old Scotland where there's a dearth of Mexican food. Brilliant stuff, please keep it up, really enjoying them.

    Rick's cooking always makes my mouth water. His production team is amazing. The US really needs to get a handle on the pandemic so we can travel again, I want to eat my way through all the place Rick has shown us!

    I don’t really think he has a production team, I think that’s pretty much all Sebastian who you briefly see make bread here but is slightly more seen and heard on ricks main show on food52. He’s fantastic

    This is an absolute masterpiece. The bread making scene was mesmerizing. I had to rewind it and watch it again. This series is awesome. Looking forward to the day my wife and I can tour Mexico and just be full on gluttons.

    Gotta love how babish gets other people with more experience making the food he wants to showcase on the show, and just lets them do their thing for one episode, not even for sponsorships or end cards. Many other creators would be obsessively try to advertise themselves and hog the attention.

    For me, having my nails painted cheers me up so much!! I love seeing the bright exciting colors on my fingers & whatever chore I'm doing is made a little easier with that pop of color. I think a lot of ppl might feel like that.

    Using large food buckets instead of large bowls is genius. Also loving the painted fingernails across the BCU. Edit: I edit my comment to prevent folks making the erroneous assumption I did, that those were construction buckets. Thanks to other people pointing that out, I don't want anyone getting sick or misrepresenting those food places

    The plastic used for construction buckets doesn't have to be safe for food contact. I would definitely try and get old pickle buckets or other food storage buckets if you are going to do this at home. That way you know the plastic selected was designed for food contact.

    @@brettsmith8055 Food safe is definitely a priority. If you do a lot of baking, you can sometimes find bulk flour, sugar, baking soda, syrup, coconut oil, and other baking staples in 3-gallon and 5-gallon buckets. I see a lot of mom and pop restaurants use those buckets for food prep, which work out splendidly because they have lids and handles.

    Food safe buckets seem like they'd make life a lot easier for people making food in bulk, my local bakery has 3 gallon buckets that they use for something (we got some they where getting rid of to use for aquariums) they are really robust buckets and it makes moving large amounts of things easier especially because depending on the size of bucket the weight of what you're carrying and how strong you are a person can carry multiple buckets a lot easier than you can carry multiple bowls

    @@bwingbwinggwiyomi not necessarily. The “torta” actually comes from French baguette sandwiches which the Mexican citizens learned to make during the French occupation of Mexico. And the torta is much better than those in my opinion. Shows that you can make something better even if it isn’t your native food.

    Mexico and South America don’t get nearly enough recognition for their amazing food, culture, and history. The typical American’s view of Mexico is just tacos, tequila, crime, and deserts. I’m really glad to see more shows drawing attention to the foods that we don’t get exposed to

    I love adding choco(choko?) into the shoots that were adorable. The way this was kinda parsed out with the let's taste, let's learn, let's challenge was really fun and a lil staged but very natural. It was really fun and I like that some of the similar cuts that are used when filming with babish are pulled in when cooking with Rick.

    I'm so excited about this show. I love getting a look into the traditions and food of mexico. Everything looks amazing and I always leave one of these videos starving.     Ahhh!!! I just got nostalgic memories of going to Juan de Dios Market. My parents and family from Guadalajara would take us children there almost every weekend. I can still remember the wonderful smells of food. Loving these videos on different cultural cuisines ❤

    Wow the editing on this series is amazing! I love the awesome bread montage cut with the chill waiting to rise parts. And getting pup to look around at the graphics, how much patience did that take lol.

    Been a fan of this channel for a long time! Although the short form content focused on food from media will always be my fave, I absolutely LOVE this series. Rick was always a fave at BA and I'm so happy to see him staring in such a banggggggggin series. Thanks for putting this out for us for free

    As someone who was born in Guadalajara. This is the best dish the city has to offer. There isn't a boring day of eating in Guadalajara. Got excited when I was the market.

    I love this series. I loved Rick on the channel that shall remain nameless. I loooooove the passion he has for the food and the methods of making it and he himself going to the local craftsfolk. The cinematography is gorgeous.
