    Thanks so much! I’m seriously considering doing a second test video of this product though. I’ve gotten a lot of controversial/contradicting responses based on how I did this test. Doing an application on the paint after freshly being clay barred again will hopefully show better results. However, no matter what, I feel like I should’ve seen a more significant difference between the two sides no matter how I did the application before. It still wasn’t enough water beading and increased shine for me to make it completely worth it to me as of right now. And thanks so much man! I really appreciate that. 😎 Thanks so much for also checking out my video! Please make sure to leave me a like, and also consider subscribing to my channel! I have used Torque Detail Mirror Shine on my red Corvette for years. When I got my whire pearl Cadillac they came out with the Torque Detail Ceramic Shine so I tried it. It works great! I have had it on over a year and it still shines and repels dirt great! I will put another coat on soon but VERY satisfied with how clean and shiny the car always looks.

    @@DoubleClutchAutoReviews I used the TD Mirror Shine longer on my red Corvette. I would apply another coat every 3-4 months. The Corvette was a 2014 and people thought it was brand new. Amazing shine. The TD Ceramic Shine was used on a white pearl Caddy XT5. Put on 2 coats that have lasted well over a year and still shines great. Lost some of its hydrophobic properties but not bad after like 15 months

    I use Torque Detail Products and I'm happy with the results. The other plus for me is the reduced effort and time spent performing the task (I can a car in 15 - 30 minutes, inside and out). I have had people stop and ask me what I am using on my cars and others have shared what they are using. I haven't found another product that gives me a reason to change and I say this as a person who went from ceramic Turtle products to ceramic Mequiars, Mothers, IBiz, and a few others looking for better results and landed on Torque Detail. Don't get me wrong, I will always move on to a product that gives me a better result meeting my criteria of protection, gloss shine, ease of application, and finishing with minimum time spent that I deem reasonable. I agree that each person has to decide for themselves if it is worth it and worth the cost

I tried to do some research on my own, and I’m sorry, but I could not find anything definitive. When in doubt, I would always refer to the instruction manual if it says anything in there about decals, but it might not! If you can’t find anything on your own as well, I would just avoid them. If you really wanted to try it on them though, but didn’t want to take a huge gamble on it messing up the entire decal, try doing a little bit of it in a very inconspicuous area; maybe the bottom corner of one of the stripes? That’s just my two cents! Good luck, and thanks so much for watching! Have a good one. -Mark

    I have used Torque for 5 years on several of my cars and like this the best of all the ceramic coatings. He mentioned in this video that he had previously waxed the Miata and that may be why he didn't get the results he was looking for. I don't wax mine. I simply spray this on twice-a-year and I can see the results when it rains and I have black cars and it really brings out the "deep" shine. PS, I also park my cars in a garage which probably extends the life of the Torque. Also, on older cars be sure to clay bar the car first.

    Hey there! Thanks for commenting, and I’m happy to hear that you’ve had such good luck with this product. Yes, I did wax my Miata with a Carnauba wax before hand. When I filmed this video, I read ALL OVER the instructions, as well as on the bottle, and it said nothing about specifically removing waxes before hand. Someone later commented that the word “ decontaminate” means removing wax as well. Essentially, the paint should just be clay barred, which I did do. But then, I apparently should have just used the ceramic spray from there. However, I have done extensive research after the fact, especially since so many people have commented about that. What I found was that there is quite the controversy over it. Some people say that it shouldn’t matter if you have wax underneath it. Other people, like yourself, swear that it shouldn’t have wax underneath it to get the full effect and benefit of the product. Overall, though, I did like how my paint came out looking. I just have a deep gut feeling that even though there was wax beneath the Torque ceramic spray, I STILL think that it should’ve had a stronger water beading effect. That’s just me though! Anyway, let me know how you feel about that. Also, I still hope that you enjoyed the video either way. If you did, please make sure to leave me a like, and also consider subscribing to the channel! You waxed it, therefore the coating can't bond to the original surface. You essentially spayed it on and wiped it off, because the coat of wax was doing it's job . Remake this video using wax and grease remover over the whole hood, then soap and water clean up and mask one side completely, not just tape. Do the experiment again and then do the water thing. Not a very honest review at all!

  • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    @@edge7074 I hear your point, and I will consider remaking this video without waxing the car prior. However, I want you to know that I did extensive research before and after the fact, and I didn’t find anything that was significantly against having wax on the car. I am not an expert, though. You may be right! You’re not the first person to say something about that either. I may try this again, and see if there’s a big difference. However, if the results still appear to be the same as they were in this video, it will prove my point that the wax coat beforehand doesn’t matter. Perhaps, we shall see! Just so you know, though, I tried to be as honest as possible with the knowledge I had at the time, and I did not try to be deceitful or misleading to anybody. Hopefully, you understand that! Thanks anyway for watching.

    The experiment needs to be done on a car that has not already been treated with other ceramic sprays in the past so that it is not starting out already "good" Also, this ceramic spray is definitely not supposed to be applied over top of the wax! The instruction are to remove any wax before applying the ceramic coat so that the product can bond with the clear coat. Lastly, the true test of ceramic coating are how long they last.

  • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    So I totally hear your points. However, first off, I read every single instruction on the bottle, and on the packaging, and there was absolutely nothing that said I had to remove the wax that I put on my paint prior to applying the ceramic spray. Sure, doing some more research and finding out information from other sources, I have learned that the ceramic CAN bind to the paint better without a wax over it. However, some people say that it makes all the difference in the world, and others say it really doesn’t matter. In my own experience, it seemed like it didn’t make that big of a difference when using this product. Secondly, I just wanted to make this video to have a real world test to see how well this product worked. I was never planning “torture testing” my beloved Miata’s paint lol. I 100% agree with you though that a very comprehensive video would have involved a torture test to see how long it holds up. This video that I was just supposed to be a quick look to see if there was an immediate difference or not! Hopefully that makes sense. Nonetheless, I still hope you enjoy the video either way, and I appreciate your constructive criticism. Please also make sure to consider subscribing if you appreciated my feedback as well. Instruction #2 says to decon the paint. A good decontamination would be achieved by using a good decontamination shampoo. This will remove everything down to the clearcoat (getting rid of the wax and any other contaminants like road grime, tar, bugs, etc.). I'm not sure if this would have made much difference but that's what decon means. Your Miata looks amazing to begin with so if you had waxed it recently, you're not going to see a huge difference. Hopefully the difference would be ease of application and how long the product lasts. I just happened along on a cold, rainy Sunday. I'll look through your videos to see if you did a followup. Ceramic coatings are confusing and obviously, there are many varying opinions on them (that's how all the dozens (or hundreds) of brands remain...each brand has fans! I have a newer car with a pro ceramic coating (one of the ones from the small glass bottle) that is supposed to last 4 years. The spray ceramics are meant as a means to replenish the original pro coating...to make it last 4 years. Torque is advertised as an alternative to the pro coatings giving 1 year protection but I'm a little skeptical. I'm researching Torque (and others) as a maintenance spray coating for my 4 year ceramic coating. Having a long lasting coating applied professionally isn't cheap so if I can make it last, that's a big bonus! As Donut Media says, "Cars are Pain"! Your video was good!

    From what some people have told me, it may be the case that I should have removed the wax I already had on the paint, and then applied this ceramic spray... It didn't say anything specifically in the instructions regarding that one way or the other. I went sanded my 01 Mercedes S430 and polished it to get all the little scratches oút of my paint and I did this because I'm going to be applying the torque detail ceramic spray and I didn't want to apply it on a scratched paint job so I got most of the scratches out and I had to use a cutting compound and my electric polisher to get the little scratches from wet sandíng but now do I have to clay bar the car again to get the compound off or can I apply the torque ceramic spray on top of the light compound I used to bring the paint back to a nice shine after wet sanding the whole car. Any info is greatly appreciated thank you

    @patrickromer6534 Hey Patrick! I would say you should probably try to get as much of that rubbing compound off as you can before you apply the ceramic spray. I am not an expert on this, but from what research I have done, and from what many other people have told me, is that you should probably clay bar the car again to get as many contaminants, imperfections, or other products off of the clearcoat as possible before you apply the ceramic spray to get the best adherence and results. I know that takes a decent amount more effort, at least an hours worth or two. But, in the long run you are doing all of this hard work to get the best results out of your paint, so it will be worth it. In my experience with this product, I cleaned my car, clay barred it, and then waxed it with a traditional carnauba wax about a month or so before I used this ceramic spray on my Miata. My paint was already clean that day, and I just dusted it off very quickly before applying the ceramic spray to my paint surface. I was happy with my results as far as how the paint looked, but I felt like the water repellency could have been better. Some people say that this was my fault for applying it incorrectly as I didn’t strip the previous wax off… Others stated that they agreed with me that the wax shouldn’t have affected the results that dramatically, and the product just wasn’t as effective as a claimed to be. Either way, I know that carnauba wax is not the same as rubbing compound, but I still don’t think you should apply the ceramic spray over the compound. I hope this helps! My hood (only) has swirl marks. Will this product effectively remove those, or do they need to be removed by other means before applying this product?

  • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    Жыл бұрын

    Great question! I would say you should try using a light polishing compound first to try to remove the swirl marks as best as you can, and then apply this product as the finishing touch to give it a nice sealant/protective layer. I don’t believe doing this over swirl marks will necessarily improve the look of them. Try the polishing compound first, and see how it looks afterwards! You also might have to clay bar it to remove as many impurities as you can if it’s really bad. Let me know how you make out! Also, I very much hope you enjoyed the video. I would strip all wax off, then apply wax to one side, then the Ceramic spray to the other. The ceramic is not really going to stick to the waxed paint. I would ceramic coat on clean paint.

    You're not the first person to mention that! I still have a hard time believing that it wouldn't stick AT ALL to the previous coat of wax though. I truly believe that there still should've been more of a measurable difference between the two, regardless of the wax on the paint already. However, I am seriously considering doing a second test of this product just as you said, and seeing what happens! Either way, I hope you enjoyed the video! Hello Shawn! It is holding up pretty well, but the Miata honestly hasn't been driven that much, and it's always in the garage, so I'm sure not sure if that's fair comparison. For instance, compared to a car that someone has to park outside everyday. Is you expedition garaged, or not? I am debating also putting this stuff on my '08 Honda Accord that I daily drive and gets parked outside, and seeing how it lasts on that car! Would a video like that be of interest to you? I would also say just so you know, you might only get 1-2 coats maximum out of one of these bottles on your massive Expedition lol. Both this Torque Detail and the Meguiar's are easy to use, yield decent results, and I would recommend both. This is as long as you get them for a discount/sale price. Try to pay no more than $30 for a bottle of Torque, and around than $15-$18 max for a bottle of the Meguiar's hybrid ceramic spray or liquid wax. That’s funny you ask! So I used 3 coats of the ceramic spray on my Miata. However, I don’t think I left it outside enough, or got it dirty enough necessarily to really give the ceramic spray a true test of durability over time. I know I said in the video that I was possibly going to post an update in the future and let you guys know how it held up. However, I don’t think I really punished the Miata enough (thankfully, lol) to give it a proper opinion one way or the other. I will say though, the paint still looks really nice, and it cleans easily. Is it better than a good ol’ traditional carnauba wax job? Marginally, maybe, but not by enough for me to say, “WOW!” So you have already done a proper job on your FJ. Clearly, putting in that effort alone shows that you want to take care of them (those are both really cool cars btw) To be perfectly honest, if you can find the ceramic spray on sale, and you have around $20-$25 burning a hole in your pocket, I would say go for it! I cannot deny that my paint did look really nice afterwards. My only real complaint was I wish that the water beading was significantly more present right after the first initial application. I truly feel like it did not repel the water enough for me to be ecstatic over it. I think the best comparison would be to try it on the S2000 and see which one do you think looks better afterwards and repels water more efficiently! Maybe even film it too, and compare it to my footage with my Miata. I basically did the same thing, except I just did half of one car, not 2 different cars with different paint ages and conditions. That might be interesting to see! Also, as far as applying the ceramic spray over a traditional carnauba wax, many people have commented on this video stating that I did it wrong. They said that I should’ve applied the ceramic spray on paint that was stripped of all waxes and contaminants to get the best results, not over carnauba wax. I countered them with stating that I looked over the entire bottle and the instructions, and it did not state anywhere that I should not apply this over another wax or sealant. It just said to have the car clean and dry and stored in a cool shaded place before applying. I also did a decent amount of research afterwards, and I could not find any information stating what was the right way one way or the other. If I were you, I would try it just on the 2000 and compare it to the FJ. Then, if you’re feeling really frisky, try it on the FJ as well, and compare it afterwards again! If you end up doing that, please feel free to let me know how it all worked out. I’m very curious to know. Nonetheless, I’m sorry for my essay, and that I couldn’t give you the exact answer you wanted! I still hope you enjoy the video and found it helpful either way. So being your car was well detailed prior to using this product so you won’t notice a difference. Try it again after 6 months so the Carnauba wax wears off. They also claim this product fills in the surface scratches that cause the “swirling” look, you did not mention if those were present before applying the product or the results. It’s not always about repelling water.

    Okay, I appreciate your insight! I may take you up on that next time I get the chance. Just to let you know though, I looked all over the instructions including the bottle, and the paperwork I got with it, and it did not specify to NOT use any other kind of wax before using this. It just said to clean and decontaminate the surface. I guess I did not realize that wax was a contaminant? A lot of people of already mentioned that I should've done it the way you mentioned, and not applying any other wax beforehand. It was too late at that point after I got the product in the mail. However, I still think the car looked great after the Torque detail. Even better than before, truly. I just wasn't sure if it was worth it for the extra money on top of that compared to the traditional wax. I know you're saying because I used the carnauba wax beforehand, that I wouldn't notice a big difference. However, I personally feel like it should've been at least slightly more noticeable than it was with increased water repelling especially, as well as the shine if it really was a well-made ceramic coating for the money in my humble opinion. I know it's not always about repelling water. But, that to me was a big deal at the time. I wanted to have a super strong protective coating on the paint that would last. Thinking back, I don't remember if I noticed a huge difference with the swirl marks or not, because there are a few on my Miata. What I really wish I did was tape it off half-and-half right from the get-go. Then, did the water repelling test on the untreated side to start. Then, again on the other side with the torque detail. After that, back again to the original side after applying carnauba wax to that, and seeing how each one of those 3 tests compared to the other. That would've been an excellent experiment, and I will probably do that next time I do something like this! Anyway, I hope that explains my thoughts well enough, and I also hope you enjoyed the video either way! If you did, please make sure to leave me a like, and also consider subscribing to my channel! @@DoubleClutchAutoReviews Update on the Chemical Guys Ceramic Detailer Spray. It's awesome. My neighbor 3 houses down hired a tree trimmer service this morning. They are removing all of the plants and trees in their backyard. The dust and pollen has spread everywhere. I applied the detailer yesterday morning and saw the dust built up on my car today. After driving my car a couple miles and back, most of the dust blew off. The "self-cleaning" description on the bottle does in fact hold true. I can still see dust, but not as heavy. The application is much easier than the Mother's Ceramic Spray I bought that leaves heavy streaks. I'm going to Auto Zone or Advanced Auto Parts to purchase the actual ceramic wax spray today. I'm not even curious to see how TORQUE compares.

    Some of their stuff is great - the milky mirror shine product works incredible on coated X3mC and x7, and non coated RDX. I actually like their waterless better, especially on the east coast, salt, sand, yuck. One two punch for maintaining touchless/coated/PPF. I Haven’t needed to use the product in THIS review as the gloss, shine, and the vehicle self-cleaning over time in has been fine and i use other stuff for real serious protection if it’s coming out of a bottle, especially during winter. Is it overall better than Meguiars or others for the extra 20 bucks or so, doubt it, though the sprayers and bottles are much better quality, easy to use overall, and I believe they come with a filter on the bottom of the spray straw too. Mine have them. Meguiars hybrid ceramic line POPS and USED to be a value till they went up 10 bucks and are no longer the best deal/result goin so it’s tough when all is said and done. Majority of these come from the same chem plants, just tweaked and relabeled. With Meguiars in the 20+ bracket these days, that’s into more semi-prof boutique areas - 30, 40 plus for spray si02.

    Well said! Thanks for all of the info. I cannot deny, my Miata did look great after I used the Torque, but it barely showed any substantial difference at all in water repellency. I'm not returning it, but as of right now, I probably won't buy it again. I completely agree that Meguiar's USED to be one of the best deals for cheap ceramic protection. And, it smelled great! Hahah but now you have to spend $20+, and even that level of quality is up for debate compared to the semi-permanent options like you said... I can see one day just finally committing to the work and cost to properly ceramic coat the Miata myself. Curious as the vehicle had a carnuba wax already applied if that affects the ability to work the product into the clear coat. Ostensibly the up front test between the "untreated" side and treated side wasn't necessarily indicative of "untreated" given that there was already wax there. I would be curious to see how the two sides perform over a longer period as that is ultimately one of the arguments for Ceramic over a Wax... it's the durability. I have used a variety of products including 3 or 4 different ceramics and in general I have found the following to be true: The ceramic sprays like this one are easier to apply than a wax as they go on essentially clear and require less buffing. However it's easy to miss areas until you get into the right light and you will see some streaks. I have found the water repellent quality of a good quality ceramic to be pretty durable Vs a more conventional wax. I am currently trying to determine between 4 brands which one I like the most but have observed the ceramic products that include graphene to have a bit more shine Vs the straight ceramics. It is a very saturated market.

    Hello! So I must say that you are not the first person to question that. However, when I did my own personal research into this product, and while also reading the directions on the package itself, I saw nothing of the sort that said you have to strip the pre-existing wax off of your paint before applying this specific type of ceramic spray. My assumption was that most people that take care of their cars, like me, probably already have some sort of wax coat already on the paint surface. I figured that this was intended to go right over it since I did not see any other instructions saying otherwise. I think what your are mentioning might be referring to a different type of ceramic coating that comes in a small glass vial and has to be applied with an applicator sponge that it comes with. Using that type, I think you have strip all the wax, and other impurities off of the paint to get right down to the clear coat before applying it. That to me would make much more sense. The existing wax on my car might have affected this product. However, since the instructions didn’t say otherwise, I’m just going to have to go with my real-world results as the standard application as I showed here. If you find any other solid evidence or research showing otherwise, please let me know! I am very curious to find out what is the best way to apply this specific type of ceramic spray because you are not the first person to ask that. To be honest, I know this wasn’t the most scientific video out there on KZread, but I still believe that I tested this product fairly by applying one coat on my paint, and then letting it cure for 5+ hours per the instructions. I will potentially either make a follow up video, or just comment down below on this one to let all of the viewers know how it is held up overtime. You are correct though about the application process. This is much easier to apply than a paste wax, but I may have missed some areas on the first go. I will say though, I have done a few more coats of this on top of what I did in this video, so it is very unlikely I missed any spots now, and I am no longer noticing any streaks. I have not tried any ceramic coating with graphene yet. That’s very interesting, and I may have to try one of those in the future as well! Thanks for your comment, and I hope you enjoyed the video either way! Please give me a like and consider subscribing if you did. Thanks so much! -Mark

    So, I hear your point, because you are not the first person to mention that. However, I would like to let you know that I did extensive research before, and after the fact, and there is a lot of conflicting information whether that was the wrong way to do it, or not. I also looked at the instructions from front to back, and it said nothing specific about not applying this over wax. However, I am seriously considering doing a “redo/update” on this video using my Honda Accord as the next test dummy. The Miata has been tucked away for quite a while, so it won’t serve as a very good real-world contestant. However, my Honda has been out in the elements for it’s entire life, and I still don’t have a garage for it. I am planning on clay-barring and re-waxing/protecting it anyway, so I feel like that would be a perfect fit for another test. I probably will end up just doing the hood in halves just like I did the Miata. We’ll see if there’s a big difference from freshly cleaned and clay-barred, non-coated paint, to the Torque Detail. How about I comment back on this and let you know if I end up making that video! 🤙

    Because your MIATA was resprayed, it had nothing to do with the shine. This product is nothing more than Snake Oil at $30 a bottle with Tax. It could even be someone else's product, purchased in large quantities and rebranded. There are so many products out there that hype everything up, all marketing BS in this country. if you stick with Meguiars, Griots, 3D, even Turtle Wax, Adams, Cerakote, and the list goes on, you will have great products. Personally, I have used the Meguiars Ultimate Wax (A sealant) and without any other coatings, monthly washings lasted 6 months. Twice a year, I apply a base coat with either a cleaner wax/polish and then a spray-on wax, and the cars never stop beading. My 2 favorites are the Meguiars and the Griots Ceramic Paste Wax. A little bit goes a long way and one must use a DA with a 5.5" and 3" pad. Then I top it off with a spray on each panel, and the towel of the Best of Show Wax, and do not have to worry about anything else. You can go the Ceramic Coating Route, but the cost IMO is just not worth it, for some it is. Be warned though. The car must be decontaminated with a clay bar when absolutely necessary, or you are wasting your money. I also find that the road salt eats away at the coatings and also heavy pollen in the spring, unless removed very quickly with soap and water (even a rinse). I would more inclined to use Graphene Sprays - 303 has a good one from what I can tell (next time) in a few years when I run out of my current lineup. Lastly, this company spends way too much time on Tik Tok & Facebook advertising. Amazing how they also can remove the bad reviews and be selective.

    Makes sense! In fact, I did end up putting on 3 coats total on the Miata. The car still looks great, but the water beading didn’t really change that much. I felt like this product worked well, but I don’t know if it worked THAT much better than traditional carnauba wax. Please feel free to let me know how it works for you after 3 coats. Also, I hope you enjoyed the video either way. If you did, please make sure to leave me a like, and also consider subscribing to the channel! @Crittek Thanks so much man! I really appreciate that. And yes I hope so. I really do try to keep that car as clean as I reasonably can. So in fact I did clay bar it and waxed it with a traditional carnauba wax before this video, and I was very happy with those results as it was. My goal with this ceramic spray product was to hope for an even better "boost" in the paint's water beading. I feel like it helped somewhat with that, and the paint looked great overall. I just don't think it was as much beading as I wanted. I was looking for it to just fall off of the car basically hahah Some people are saying though that I should have had a completely "bare" paint surface with no wax on it to yield the best results out of the ceramic spray. I did additional research, and I totally see there point on that. However, I still feel like that shouldn't have been THAT detrimental to the finish of this specific ceramic spray because it didn't say anything like that on the bottle's instructions (I read every word). I think they were referencing the type of ceramic coating that comes in a glass vial, is much more expensive, and is much more viscous, not this style of "ceramic detail spray" that I had.

    Lol in fact I do! I'm just under 6' and right around 200 lbs. My line of sight is ever so slightly obstructed by the top of the windshield if I sit up perfectly straight, but in a relaxed driving position it's not a problem most of the time. Except for the times I forget that I'm in the Miata, and I pull up wayyy too close under a stop light. Then I have to crane my neck to see the light until it turns green. That only happens once a drive at worst, and then I learn my lesson. What's crazy is the guy I bought it from was much bigger than me! He was at least 250 lbs and around 6' 2". I don't know how he managed to squeeze in this car, but he did! Hahahah

    @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    Understandable! However, it did not say that anywhere on the package or directions. I agree that doing multiple coats does help of course. That is most likely the case for many other products out there as well. However, I feel like if a manufacturer of a product claims for it to make such a dramatic difference, we should see some decent change with only 1 coat applied and cured IMO. Have you tried this product out yourself? If you have, I’d like to know how well it worked for you. Thanks anyway for watching, and I hope you enjoyed the video! -Mark

    When you put ceramic on your not suppose to do a round motion on the towel 😮wrong ! Your suppose to go straight one direction .

  • @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    @DoubleClutchAutoReviews

    Жыл бұрын

    So I re-read the directions, and you are correct. However, in all honesty, do you think it made THAT big of a difference on my Miata? I feel like that makes a much bigger difference with the much higher grade ceramic coatings that come in a glass vial, but I can't imagine that it dramatically reduced my results with this one just because of how I buffed it on. You are correct though, and if I wanted to do it exactly how the directions told me, I should've applied it it in a straight back-and-forth motion. Who knows, maybe I'll do a direct comparison test of literally applying it in a straight motion versus in a circular motion! Not gonna lie, I doubt there would be any huge changes.. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video either way! Let me know your thoughts. -Mark

    Right. For instance, not the ones that come in a glass vial, take considerable time and precision to apply correctly, and can cost upwards of $1500 to have applied professionally. This is certainly more of a temporary spray-on coating. However, Torque Detail does claim to have this exact product producing fantastic results, so I wanted to put it to the test! Overall, I'm not displeased with it. But, I'm not sure if I would buy it again. I will say though, my paint looked great after I applied 2 coats of it. Yeah, I wish it made a bigger difference too. Some people are saying that I did not apply it correctly because I put on a traditional carnauba wax on it beforehand. However, there was nothing in the instructions either on the bottle or in the package that said not to do that or anything else of the sort, so I figured that wouldn’t make that big of a difference. The water beading was slightly improved, and I will say my painted look great afterwards. However, like you said, for how much it cost, I don’t think I will be buying it again. Not a problem! I just used this type of ceramic spray on the Miata, not the more expensive kind that comes in a small glass vial, if that's what you are asking. The Miata was cleaned, detailed and waxed by me before I applied the Torque Detail ceramic spray.
