Oh, the Hockey Hall of Fame. Lord knows I have so many hockey memories and memorabilia. I have been to the Hockey Hall of Fame and I’ve touched the Stanley Cup. It is bad luck for a hockey player to touch the cup before they win it but I am safe because I will never win it. I have met Wayne Gretzky and his wife. I used to know a bunch of the Washington Capitals and I went on some road trips with them. I went to a game with them to the Old Forum in Montreal. I have been on the ice with a bunch of them. No, I can’t play at their level. Are you kidding? I have signed jerseys and sticks and game used hockey pucks from both regular season and playoff games. I have a stick signed by the entire Caps team, a signed Gretzky stick, and many others. Two of the best items is I have Peter Bondra’s game used jersey he wore the season he became the first Caps player to lead the NHL in goals scored. I was at Dale Hunter’s house one day and he said he had promised me a game used stick. He ran out in the garage and got it. He said he scored a goal with it and when he scores a goal with a stick he quits using it. I asked why and said if I scored a goal in the NHL I would think that was my lucky stick and I would keep using it. He said he figures if he scores a goal with a stick, it doesn’t have any more goals left in it. Lol! All down the shaft of the stick he wrote, “To Ron All the Best Dale Hunter #32”.

It is too bad there isn’t a way to post a photo on here. I have a good photo on my phone of three hockey sticks, a game used Al Iafrate stick, the autographed Gretzky stick, and the autographed Dale Hunter stick. I also have a photo on my phone of the front and back of Bondra’s game used autographed jersey. One cool thing about the jersey is you can see all the black marks on the jersey from the friction tape on the opposing players sticks as they were hooking him with their sticks. I find it kind of funny that you really don’t see all of these black marks on the jerseys on television.
