Toronto Motorsport Park in a Porsche 997 GT3 (

Worked on a few things by looking at the previous event's data. Focused on:
- Better hands position on steering wheel
- More assertive throttle application after shifts
- Turn 2 entry speed
- Tight on the S turns
- Slow-in, fast-out for the hairpins
- Tight on the hairpins
- Mid-apex on turn 8 hairpin, turn in earlier
- Dont pinch entry on hairpin onto straight
I can't say that I got them all nailed, but cleaning up the hairpins resulted in an average lap time that was 6/10ths quicker this time around. Next event, the focus will be on the hairpin onto the straight, I'm still losing time there.

Nice video! I like the digital data on the bottom right of the videos. Can't wait to try out a car at the track, especially something as grand as your GT3. =D

Hey great video... I saw one of your video's when you were at Mosport in 2010.. I was on the track with you. I've modified my car quite a bit and posted a 1.29 at Cayuga but got blown away by a GT3.. so searched and saw your vid. Great driving and beautiful car. I would love to get a ride if I run into you at Mosport this year. I'll keep a look out for you and your car. Cheers!

best part about this vid is your description, i love the fact that you list out what you want to improve on, everyone should have some type of game plan before heading to the track so you can really make good use of your time, wonderful driving too

@pickler6473, the data is from an AIM EVO4 data acquisition system; the video is taken using an AIPTEK GVS Walmart purchased camera. The data and video are tied together using Trackvision software. Pulling it all together is a bit clunky, but it's a great learning tool.

Great to see the gt3 in action. Why does your g meter work exactly opposite of the way it should. Is there a setting?

This video is three years old. Last time out in 2012, I was down to 1:18.3 with the same setup.

@TheStupidperson123, it's free. Just show up at a track that I'm visiting and hop in. I can't remember the last time the passenger seat was empty at the track.

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. I'm going to try for a 1:19.xx at TMP this year, we'll see how it goes. If you see me at the track, come up and introduce yourself, I'd be happy to take you for a ride. What car do you drive?

I don't have sound, but if you're not locking up the tyres then you're not being too hard on the brakes, pretty good rule of thumb. Watching the Ferrari challenge every year at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve over F1 week-end the brakes are always WHITE hot at the hairpin.
