Cornflake Girl lyrics:
Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution
Hangin' with the raisin girls
She's gone to the other side
Giving us a yo heave ho
Things are getting kind of gross
And I go at sleepy time
This is not really
This, this, this is not really happening
You bet your life it is
You bet your life it is
Honey, you bet your life
It's a peel out the watchword
Just peel out the watchword
She knows what's going on
Seems we got a cheaper feel now
All the sweeteaze are gone
Gone to the other side
With my encyclopedia
They must have paid her a nice price
She's putting on her string bean love
This is not really
This, this, this is not really happening
You bet your life it is
You bet your life it is
Honey, you bet your life
It's a peel out the watchword
Just peel out the watchword
Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, girl
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, girl
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, oh yeah
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys,
Where'd you put the keys, girl
And the man with the golden gun
Thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much, yeah
And the man with the golden gun
Thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much, yeah
And the man with the golden gun
Thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much, yeah
And the man with the golden gun
Thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much, yeah, yeah
Rabbit, where'd you put the keys, girl

Tori Amos official bio:
Since the release of her first, career-defining solo album Little Earthquakes in 1992, Tori Amos has been one of the music industry’s most enduring and ingenious artists. From her unnerving depiction of sexual assault in “Me and a Gun” to her post-9/11 album Scarlet’s Walk to her decidedly feminist stage musical The Light Princess in 2013, her work has never shied away from intermingling the personal with the political. Her fifteenth and most recent studio album, Native Invader (2017), was formed out of her desire to prove that “we can out-create the destructiveness that is all around us,” and that same message became the foundation of her second New York Times - bestseller - 2020’s Resistance: A Songwriter’s Story of Hope, Change, and Courage as a potent antidote to our current (inter)national trauma.
A pioneer across multiple platforms, Tori was the first major label artist to offer a single for download. Nominated for multiple Grammy Awards and achieving nine top 10 US Albums, she has had her songs turned into graphic novels and has produced ground-breaking videos throughout her career. In late 2016 she released the title song ‘Flicker’ to the acclaimed Netflix documentary ‘Audrie and Daisy’, addressing issues of high school rape. A noted humanitarian, Tori was the first spokesperson for RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), which is the United States’ largest anti-sexual assault organization and continues to be on their National Leadership Council today.

This is actually the original key believe it or not. She's not hitting all the high vocal notes, but she's almost 60 so can't blame her. She still sounds great.

It's the original key of A Major, i can hear it straight away. However her voice, as it does when you get older, can't stretch to the high notes, so she is harmonizing.

Yes, I own the copyright in the visual part of the video I shot. Tori Amos owns the copyright in the composition underlying the audio part of my video. Without permission, my creation of this derivative work based on her composition rights would arguably be an infringement, but I have permission through KZread's copyright claim system. So if someone were to copy my video--say by downloading it and then uploading it from their own channel--they would be infringing my copyright and I could issue a DMCA Notification to get it taken down. So, yeah. Copyright. By the way, I was a copyright lawyer for over 10 years, but if you want to explain to me how I *don't* own the copyright in the video that I shot, I'm all ears.

  • @TimBracken

@clydebuilt4894 - I honestly don't understand what point you're making. Not that it matters, but I shot this with a camera and then edited it in a video editor. But yes, when people shoot a video on a cell phone, they own the copyright in that video. There may be overlapping ownership rights if the cell phone video includes music with its own inherent copyright protections, but like I said, I have express permission to use the composition thanks to KZread's copyright claim system, which diverts all ad revenue on such videos to the composition rights holders.
