It’s mid-August, and throughout most of the Northeast, the striper fishing is slow. But not off Newport, Rhode Island. Captain Rob Taylor invites along OTW’s Jimmy Fee for a day of Summer Doldrums striper fishing that includes topwater frenzies and the ever effective tube-and-worm rig.

Just wondering: how long of a tube were you using in the second half of this episode?
Is that the largest size?
Do you know what kind of rods you were fishing the docs with? Seem pretty light and powerful. Would like something like this for my spring setup. Thanks
