Boston Blitz: Big Stripers off Boston Harbor | S18 E5
Спорт
When the stars align, and conditions are just right, large schools of ocean-going stripers move within range of fishermen in Boston Harbor. That's exactly what happened in Summer 2020, when Captain Brian Coombs of Get Tight Sport Fishing found big schools of BIG stripers smashing large baitfish on the surface. Brian called OTW's Chris Megan in on the bite, and the two enjoyed an exciting summer day on the water, running-and-gunning after blitzing bass just outside Boston Harbor.
The two use jigs and live bunker to fool stripers that seem to get larger as the day goes on.

Perfect timing of this video with the season approaching. Fishing anxiety has now begun....
We take trips with capt Brian yearly! Dude knows his shit
Hey guys it's really awesome how much care you put into the fish to leave them healthy when they're released. Makes me want to spend more time thinking about how to keep them healthy when I'm catching them on the surf. Thanks for the vid!
Wow i remember this kid when he worked in his dads bike shop .... Community bike in the south end Boston .... Good people ...im glad he's living the dream
This is a great example of some good sportsmanship. Awesome video, awesome fish, and awesome information!

Let's get hyped for the season! Can't wait!
Hey Brian, I’m a fellow Medford guy! I’m going to book a spot this season, I love to fish but usually only get in to schoolies in Maine on vacation. Also I noticed where you guys went at the end of the video and wanted to say Patsy was a dear friend of mine, I’ve knew him since the 1st grade! I think of him everyday. ❤️🎣

Thanks!
Bunker, mackerel, and squid have always worked for me. Dead, though. I've never used live bait from shore. When I go on the party boat, we use live eels.
Great video guys, I’ve never fished the Boston harbor before I’m usually in the Cape, but from the looks of it I mean it looked amazing, quality and quantity were both there, awesome fishing fellas...🤙🏼🤙🏼

@@KCsniper79 idk man I thought all the big bass were gone from the cape. Went out around naushon area and MV sound with a prime tide didn’t mark anything not even a few schoolies on the map. Caught some 30 inchers casting into the beach that’s it
When they are blowing up and all the fish are that size anyone can get a 50. Do it off the beach way harder.
Gotta visit this captain
Could you guys put out a video on how to fish a Tube and Worm some time?

Why
Hey Brian, I am looking for a versatile setup that can catch schoolies all the way up to these larger 40lbs bass, any recommendations? I use mainly medium-sized poppers like the doc and lil doc.

How deep do you fish ?
You can just learn how to time the bite on a circle hook.
What model rod/reels were you using ?
