I can't recommend this knife enough 1095 steel takes a grind really well convex scandi grind makes wood processing a breeze. The sheath is very durable you won't loose your fire rob but take the whistle off as it's a big nuisance. The notch on the back of the knife absolutely does not help you with the rod I recommend grinding or filing off some of the dura-coat off of the back of the knife with a 90 degree edge it works much better.

Not a fan of all the logos, but other than that really nice knife. Love the scandi grind.
