When we thought that the future was going to be elegant... how wrong we were.
Perfection, just one of those songs to me that always sounds like the first time i ever heard it! :-)
Bass line kicks so much ass!
Sublime bass.
Music doesn't get much better than this! ;-) Musical legends who inspired the New Romantics.
One of my most loved Roxy songs. Danced my butt off back then. I miss it.
This was a warmup for the greatness that lies ahead...Avalon

Rare photos of early Roxy have BF posed with a guitar. Pretty sure I recall reading that BF composed Pyjamarma on guitar (as opposed to keyboard). So he must have had one at some time. Not sure whether the Telecaster in this video is his own or one of Phil's (who most definitely has a Tele - All I Want Is You, Love Is The Drug).

As this is a TOTP performance I would say Bryan is pretending to play the guitar. He wasn’t a guitar player.

I love how the drummer just bounces along. He has me in a trance. Who is it by the way? Looks a bit like Paul Thompson but Paul never used to bounce around so much in the early days of Roxy

They used to hire musicians for tv shows who were available and needed some money. In the 80s were only 3 regular members: Ferry, Manzanera and Mackay
Very rare to see Brian playing a guitar. Want to meet a woman just play Brian Ferry music.

Times Square soundtrack
interesting
Gary Tibbs Bryan Ferry Phil Manzarena Andy mac Key
Lead boots Manzanera😂
They never bettered 'Virginia Plain' that was classic Roxy. From 'Manifesto' onwards they were just another run of the mill 80's pop band.
Really bland uninspired Roxy Music crashing into the 80s……they used it all up in the 70s…..their incredible brilliance….for this.
Its not good
