The UN isn't a democracy. The general assembly has tried multiple times. But the security council heavily favors the 5 permanent seats (which makes sense since it was set up to stop them from going to war and keep their hegemonic power).

I find it so funny that you can literally go ask 12-year olds about what the most important 10 commandments for life should be and they always come up with something better then the 10 commandments.
