I would understand why when you've got designs requiring a brighter green.

Great video, this will help a lot when shopping for beads. Also, when you mixed the beads I gasped audibly! lol sorting bead colors is a bit of a nightmare.

Very informative. I remember watching the basic stuff you need. And ill make sure to remember this when i get a new set of perler beads

i just started beading, but im finding your tutorials/experience to be the most insightful and useful, while also hysterical!!!! hopefully you start up with these videos again, sooner rather than later...

I been beading for a couple years and just now used butterscotch for the first time yesterday. I usually use tan or sand. But I'm in the butterscotch train now.

I just bought a bead bucket and individual packs of colors id use the most as im a starter. I did have a lot of 1g bags from making Keychains for party favors for my kids birthdays. Alot of ppl say not to buy the buckets. Is this bc of the sorting time or is it bc you dont get enough of each color? EDIT: I ordered the woodland creatures bucket as it had the colors id most use. And i love sorting

i had fun watching this! i agree that purple is irreplaceable, but there's not a lot of sprites that want it. whereas cream, gray, and sand/peach are almost always relevant

Butterscotch color is the color for nuance many colors and création : yellow, brown, red... It's a must have !!

Great video. Coincidently, I have most of those colors now. A question I did have...where did you find your storage drawer container? I'm looking for something fairly large so that I can keep a lot on hand. Of course I do also like your setup of having the drawers and then also the grid bins to store your excess and just replenish as needed. Thanks for the videos. I enjoy your channel.

acappella30...The plastic drawer units you can buy anywhere.They were originally made for storing nuts bolts and screws.I have 6 myself for my rainbow loom bands. ; ) They're really great when mounted on the wall. Just look for Garage units.Akro Mils and Domu are both really good.

So if I want to do the shadowy part of skin I should use Butterscotch?

What is the best app or site to get the pattern or upload a picture and find what colors to Do? For instance, if I wanted to do Prince of Persia, Bead Studio has 27,000 beads needed. Is it really that necessary? I've uploaded Gambit from Marvel vs Capcom to Bead Studio App and they had about 13, 000, but if I followed someone else's actually finished product, I only used maybe 12 colors. I'm curious if there is a better app that if I choose a pic, it doesn't have to turn out 6 ft x 7ft tall

Pixel art shop... Ok, I've just been online and bought your suggested colours, yesterday I bought a large 10,000 bucket of Hamma, and a few sets too. So, what else do I need? No but how many colors are in the perler beads are there?

Shades: 1 Black, 2 White, 3 Grey, 4 light Grey, 5 dark Grey, Colours: 1 Red, 2 Blue, 3 Yellow, 4 Green, 5 purple, 6 Orange, 7 Cyan (toothpaste/light blue), 8 sand/any skin colour u prefer, 9 Pink/hot pink (gotta have a pink) and finally 10 Brown. I believe these 10 colours and 5 shades are essential to have and yes black and white aren't colours so u should of included 2 more imho since yea ablack and White are the 2 most important "colours" of beads to have for any project as 99% of all pieces will include both of them. And yea at least Grey is also important for a mid tone between Black and White.

I would have done the 20 essential colors cus yes and the 11th-20th would be pink, dark red, orange, sand, dark blue, grey, reddish purple, light purple, light yellow, and any translucent beads

I have trouble figuring out the names of all the Perler colors. I got a set of small drawers to store all my beads in, but I wanna label each one by their official color title. Of course there's obvious colors like black, red, etc, but there's just so many colors! The packages I get them in sometimes don't say the names of the colors. (Like those color pallet kits with natural tones, or bright tones, etc.) Do you know of a guide I can use to help me identify the colors to label them by the official Perler company color names? (Either that, or you can make a video about it, if you want. XD)

I get mine from there too, but I didn't realize I could find the colors on the packaging until after I threw the packaging out. (I looked at em for it, I just didn't find it until a month ago.) But what about the packs with several colors? (not those painful mixed buckets, i mean those packs with some separated colors in a pallet.)

I always use tons of tan yet hardly ever touch butterscotch.

This list is soo good I just feel that as a person with 0 greys to my name currently, i am struggling to find a project that does not use it, so I'd probably put grey in 3rd place, and shift the rest of the ranking down, sorry purple.

17k views maybe someone can help me. The rest of the Internet including perler beads website has failed me. Does anybody know the color name for the clear pink beads that come mixed in the 22,000 buckets? They aren't the pink glitter, but are clear like them. I cannot find this info anywhere. I need a shit ton of them so I can make a 3D microverse battery from rock and morty and put lights in them to make the pink glow. This cannot be done with opaque pinks.
