Just fixed my leaf blower using these tips! I think it was cleaning the carburetor that did the trick. Thanks for saving me $$$!

Is the exhaust conducted to part of blowing air? You know, in principle, it is only pressure riser, or volume increaser:)

After checking spark plug if serviceable drop four (4) drops of fresh fuel reinstall S/plug. Try starting if motors runs briefly this aliminates magneto. Carb spray in carburetor .

new coill no spark can help good compression

What if the blower is new? 🧐

@@spacecoastz4026 so you think the Craftsman is the worst one huh I've been using 25 Craftsman's in the last 25 years but the only type I got you know why cuz I bought one 25 years ago every year I buy a new one and bring the other one back a year old to get my money back so you tell me the Craftsman is the only one that has problems I'm sure about that

Working on one now. Put new fuel lines on it. Still won’t start, but have a few other things to check. Just saw another video where the exhaust tube was blocked by a mud daubers nest. 🤦‍♂️

I never used oil, I never Mixed fuel with oil, I didn't know about this. I used for 1 year only filling with gasoline. May my engine demage? If I get a new carb, will it works?

I accidentally put pure gas in my weed eater. Blew the motor. Can't believe yours ran for a year on gas only unless it was a 4 cycle.

@@dennydeckerful yeah what kind of blower was that if it's a two-cycle and you only ran gas in it I know to get that type next if that's strong I know it's not a crash man

I got spark, air and fuel... Idk why is not starting. I cleaned the carb not even with starting fluid

Put it on the wrong side of the Bike for Friction drive needs to be on R.side passenger S. If you will.Your spinning motor backwards when peddling.

Check compression. Probably ring worn out if ran in the past without oil mix added.

Mine new and used it since last year only 2 times and after that won’t work anymore

Carburetors are usually the problem. You can buy one for less than 18 dollars

Clear the exhaust mesh with a propane torch. Just burn off the carbon.

Did this with a Honda Accord kinda and it blew up in my face. To be fair, I was like 10 years old and they were troubleshooting why the car wouldn’t start so all those fuel fumes gathered up in the exhaust and 10 year old me wondered if I could burn off soot in the tailpipe with a lighter. Next thing i know my ears are ringing and I’m rolling around in the grass with a half black face from the soot. Had to go to the ER and they put these things on my eyes that flushed my eyes with saline solution. Not fun lmfao

Timing. It’s the flywheel key. See if it is sheared or broken. If not check the air filter.

@@connorssmallengines6663 thanks, but I think it my be the compression. Looking in from the exhaust, the cylinder looks scored, and the ring stuck.

@@skunkapunka Any idea how that happened. I have one that won't start also. It seems to have good compression though. Didn't you feel the low compression when you tried to start it?

@@alext8828 it was the first one I own. And it may have some compression, but not enough to make it work. I bought it used, non running, so there is no telling what the previous owner might done to it.

Good info but for pete's sake, might as well get a whole new blower.

I would check comp b4 doing all that.

I spoke to Skunkapunka and he didn't know what the compression should be on one of them. I need to check mine. See what it is. I have a new weed wacker and the comp is not that great. I think the leaf blower has higher compression. Crazy.

gas is gonna be illegal in California in like 7 years how about electric

Means buy a blower for $350 and every year spend 150 dollars on it!!

Or you can replace with or buy brushless lithium ion cordless leaf blowers? Rechargeable batteries 2.5 to 7.5 amps. No gas, no oil, no maintenance described above, no problem. Combine this with other tools like weed eaters, lawn mowers, chain saws and you'll have enough battery power to do the average yard. I'm not saying the cordless battery powered ones are for professional landscapers but if your yard is under an acre or 2 abandon and replace your gas combustion engine powered products. From a user standpoint (using and maintaining), they are becoming the superior product.
