I have a video of Degrelle speaking of his legions action kn the Eastern front when he was an older man in Spain. I have watched it at least 4 times. The bravery, leadership, and loyalty he showed should go down as prime examples for officers and soldiers alike. May God rest his soul.

Degrelle wrote a very readable (IMO) book entitled "My Revolutionary Life" that delves into some elements of prewar history. It is worth a look, if only to help understand what motivated him. IIRC, it was intended to be part of a series, but he died before any other installments were produced.

Not really an option. Its nothing but ensuring none of the Praetorians of National Socialism survived. Look at the Dutch SS volunteers. They were jailed, and voluntold for the Dutch UN Battalion that fought in Korea. The Dutch Battalion was attached to the US 2nd Infantry Division (fought in all three years of the war) and suffered heavy casualties. Look at the Azov Brigade in Ukraine today, they’re allowed to exist by the West, because it serves as a brain drain for modern followers of the ideal. The West knows Ukraine would never win the war. Yet they encourage volunteers to go over there. They’re betting on killing the younger idealists (The Liberal Orders number one threat).

I believe what Himmler meant when he was his regards wasn’t that one day the Nazis would rise again and that Degrelle would need to mentor them but rather that Himmler understood that Germany would never really raise again after the war(at least not for a long while) and that when he said ‘everything would change quickly’ he meant that post war Germany would be nothing like the Germany they are fighting for/lived in. His remarks to him being needed likely meant that he needs him to spread the truth and actual message on what old Germany was like instead of letting the allies completely control the narrative of old Germany.
