​@@johnborris3222 Basically, Saladin was leading the Muslim army and Balian led a small calvary charge against a sizeable force of Muslims. They are beaten and Balian is captured and is shocked to see the Muslim leader being the man he saved earlier in the film. Then Saladin arrives with the much larger army and at the same time, King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem arrives with his army of Christian Crusaders and Knights. So the Mulsim Leader that Balian saved tells one of his men to tell Saladin that "Jerusalem has come." Although I guarantee Saladin could see, its just a line for movie purposes and for it being an epic line, it adds nothing to the plot. Overall, it's a very good movie and you should watch it.

Kingdom of Heaven is such a good movie

The best part with the GoT scene was it really showed how chaotic being a infantryman is when you're in the middle of a cavalry charge or if you get knocked from your horse.

What I love about Kit's acting there is you can read everything, his fear is quikcly outpaced by his sense of defeat, probably moreso of losing the war,and knowing the dead will win, than himself dying. But then he has a slight nod to himself, his determination comes forth as he realises there is no way out, and he simply stands, and waits, ready to die killing Boltons.

@@Wenum32 I could agree if some changes are made to make the movie more entertaining but 'Kingdom of Heaven' made many unnecessary smearing to the side of the Knight's Templars and made them look like the invaders when it was the opposite. I think because Ridley Scott(producer of the movie) is an atheist he was a little more interested in painting the Christians as the bad guys even if it sacrificed certain entertaining story elements.

The Director’s cut is a masterpiece! 5 hours long but still worth a watch. Kingdom of Heaven has my favorite movie quote. “I put no stock in religion. By the word religion, I've seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the "Will of God". I've seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves. And goodness - what God desires - [pointing at his head then heart] is here and here. And what you decide to do every day, you will be a good man, [smiles] or not.” So freaking powerful.

"Day of the Siege" (Battle of Vienna 1683) had an amazing LITERAL arrival of the cavalry to save the day. A historical piece that is still amazing to this day

The problem with that one is that they arrived before the battle started, so it was somewhat anticlimactic. Stereotypical reinforcements arrive just when the battle appears to be lost.

Ill be honest, the scene from Dunkirk could be on these, the fact it actually happened and civilians not solders showed up is amazing.

Every other movie, armies and armies arriving. in ZSJL it's only Superman and he's enough. one man army.

Here's some other ones: Saving private Ryan, final battle scene; Top Gun Maverick, when Hangman enters at the end; James Bond Moonraker space battle; and my personal fave: The hunt for Red October, when USS Dallas intervenes between the Konovalov and the Red October.

Kinda bummed Saving Private Ryan rescue from the final fight isn't here. That P-51 bombing run would've kicked ass.

the game of thrones scene is amazing. Jon Snow's character is amazing and Kit Harrington does a good job portraying him. One of the best 1 man stands. Sadly the wildlings came to save him 😂

Usually in sci fi and fantasy movies I go nuts when I see the humans prevailing over a big enemy army but in avatar I absolutely LOVE watching the tiny pink aliens get wrecked lol

Kingdom of Heaven is one of, if not, the greatest film of it's time.

Not that the Narnia movies are great cinema, but it makes me think of reading the books so many times. Over and over again, Lewis says Aslan "isn't a tame lion..." That end is a reminder for all of the other times in the books it's mentioned.

In all other last stands, it is like an army or fleet that arrives In justice league the cavalry is one man - Superman

If you have the skills "reinforcements" can be as little as 2 people. As when Saruman (before the evil set in) and Elrond came to Gandalf and Galadriel's aid with a simple "Are you in need of assistance my lady?" and proceed to beat the hell out of the 9.

Three Musketeers (1993) - Cardinal orders his guard to seize the titular heroes after a failed assignation attempt he orchestrated. They stand alone /outnumbered. Then townsfolk assemble beside them. They toss off their outer garments, revealing their Musketeer tunics and draw swords. G.I. Joe : Rise of Cobra: (2009) : Duke and Baroness chase Cobra Commander & Destro through underwater tunnels. They finally catch up to them in their mini sub. Duke tells them to stand down. Cobra Commander (in full sized submarine/heavily armed) says “You and what Army, Duke?” Duke replies “My army!” And all the Gi Joe underwear fleet arrives.

I was frankly surprised that Narnia has the most realistic magic/wand usage in combat I think I have seen. Sword in one hand and a wand in the other for a very effective combo

I love Znyders superman scenes, because it is one of the few movies that really shows how insanly overpowered this character is.

Can't praise the Spartan fleet scene from Rise of an Empire, because Salamis was completely an Athenian victory and that movie decided to hand it to Sparta instead

GOT loot train attack is pretty epic when the Lannisters are overrun by Drogon and the Dothraki, but I guess its not technically "reinforcements"

While not as action packed as your choices, the ending of "Quigley Down Under" should justify as a last minute reinforcement. A satisfying moment in film.

The lion in Narnia from 19 years ago looks so much better than lions in the cash grab Lion King remake.

Since there is a part 1, I assume Endgame is in there. Same with Rohan showing up in Return of the King. I'd also add Luke showing up at the end of Season 2 of Mandalorian. One that is less well known is We Were Soldiers when Mel Gibson has to call Broken Arrow, an emergency order for air support. Though broken arrow is used in this movie, that is not an official order. Broken arrow instead means a lost nuclear warhead. But it definitley fit perfectly into the movie

Quigley Down Under: Quigley is cornered by the bad guy's British Army allies, badly outnumbered, and about to be shot. A mysterious wind blows in, kicking up dirt and sand. When the wind dies down, the army guys see that there are literally thousands of Aborigines lining the ridges around the ranch, surrounding the military men. They have come to help the Spirit Warrior (Quigley), who has helped many of them and asked nothing in return. The soldiers know that they've got guns versus the Aborigines' "primitive" weapons, but they also know that primitive weapons can kill you just as dead as bullets. Plus, there were thousands of Aborigines versus about twenty of them. So the calvary men leave without touching Quigley. And after Quigley bends over to mess with the bandage on his leg and straightens up, the Aborigines have disappeared as mysteriously and magically as they showed up. Very cool!

John Snow and Ramsey Bolton, two absolute dolts in charge of armies. One screws up their whole battle plan falling for an obvious bait, while the other lets a couple thousand men on horseback somehow sneak up behind him. It's crazy how badly this show jumped the shark.
